I watched HDR10+ content on a properly calibrated display this afternoon. What I liked was the blacks weren't nearly as crushed. What I didn't like was the over-saturation of colors. Of course, that appeals to the masses. They like to crank the colors and brightness and having their whites look blue.

I'm not privy to the creative intent involved with the content you watched. But I can tell you that sometimes creators go to extremes (even physical [ocular] pain) in order to make their storytelling point, e.g. –

Agreed. Eye and hearing test done every 12 to 18 months. For me, eyes still very good , ears still quite good except for some tinnitus. I get the feeling I am now the old man on this board but I still .

Definitely. Those are the two things that need to be done for anybody having this hobby. Moreso if you’re doing this professionally.
