Panasonic brings HDR10+ support to 2017 TVs

Compatible 2017 Panasonic TVs include the '4K Pro' models, meaning LCD models from EX750 and up as well as the EZ950 and EZ1000 OLED models. The HDR10+ firmware update for the 2017 models is rolling out now, according to the company.

Not much pure pedigree HDR news today. If you are between jobs and can wait a couple weeks though, another shootout event approaching to have debate conversations about -

perhaps not, as once everything has been lined up - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...w#post16647271

production design can have some (non - ‘Super’) Hornet nuanced fun with aviation geeks possessing good visual acuity and contrast sensitivity -

Sony CLED. A plausible replacement for OLED, but not until they get the 7 kilowatts of power usage under control!

IMHO, This is a required reading for HDR fans.

That cause and effect should be familiar to longtime readers of Blu-ray.com since 2015 –

Cured the judder, but imagery looked too much like broadcast 60i video.
ergo, to cut down on the judder and avoid the ‘soap opera effect’, motion grading is more efficacious than traditional frame (motion) interpolation

Motion blur is still very apparent with say the latest most advanced OLED technology.
The old plasma technology of yesteryears is still superior in that aspect.

I'm all in for HFR. I love fast action sports, wildlife, sci-fi flicks, race cars flicks, fighter jet planes flicks (Top Gun), fast boat flicks (Navy, Marine, ...), fast black hawks flicks (Air Force), fast action flicks (Hobbs & Shaw), everything, anything that moves real fast (space rockets); in the air, on dirt, on paved roads, on water's surface, in space, underground, underwater and cosmic light fast.

I love slow motion more but slow-mo is not real fast reality, it's slow down real life.
On screen it looks way more beautiful than real life. But for real life fast moving action and cars and sports and balls and ... HFR is the way to combat that extremely annoying OLED motion blur effect.
It looks completely plastic artificial antisepctic green hospital walls with mercurochrome smell from an afternoon old cosmetic lady fashion show with bar soaps and operas from the thirteen century.

Almost 25,000 views in less than two days ... not bad, not bad @ all.
I've seen better though ... like 15,000 views per day.

top of the morning folks….
before heading out for Saturday’s bike ride I won’t ask what planes are hanging inside from the ceiling of the hard deck (https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post15650436) for fear of causing avs commenter’s head to explode with the nuanaces of production design, so let’s see what’s decent around the web in the world of audio video technicians and HDR

Meanwhile, for those non-nerds reading, if instrumentation ^ scares you, not to fret as there are alternative career choices possible, e.g. – https://www.linkedin.com/in/jessewilsoncreative/

Later, gotta go riding before it gets too hot here in SoCal. Catch me if you can on the ridges, paidgeek.
