It'll be close to 3 billion* views for September.

* In the 300,000 range...less than the month before and more than the two months prior.

What is the most viewed music video of all time today in the whole world?

It was supposed to be HDR via the Fox Sports app. Did you not have the proper equipment for HLG over HDMI?

I'm aware. The main cameras all looked amazing. I would take that quality forever and never complain.

3,640,976 views (End of September)

* End of August: 3,341,446 views @ 9:00 PM

So almost 300,000 views for September ... roughly 500 short.

Tell that to this journo genius which some of you guys follow…..”anyone who’s seen native 4K running against upscaled 4K - especially when the upscaling is happening in a ‘live’ environment - will know that upscaled 4K is no rival for the real 4K deal.” <- who obviously has no firsthand experience with - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...g#post16886645

More great news, Fox is going 4k HDR for the MLB playoffs too. Looks like the same rules apply as the Thursday Night NFL 4k games.

Oh, sweet irony. It's almost as if everything isn't shot to look the same?

Not just the upscaling though, dare I say it that the added temporal resolution - this was actually broadcast at 60p, right? - is what's also having a major impact on how 'sharp' or 'detailed' or whatever that people are perceiving it to be. If I was offered a sports broadcast of 1080p60 (upscaled or not) versus 2160p30 I'd take the former every time.

Loved John Archer's rant about it, he called the HDR rollout a "fiasco" and an "embarassment" but I could say the same thing about some of the stuff he wrote in that same article. And lol @ him blathering on about the Bond UHDs having DV and how it relates to his clickbait "format war" narrative, talking about Fox like they were calling the shots with the decision to have DV. Ummm...nope, it's MGM's call and Fox are doing what they've been told to do by the company that employs them to distribute their home video product. Archer's starting to reach peak irrelevance.

The HDR (HLG) is only available for DTV/DISH. Not streaming

It is ... amazing; all things considering.

* Was it last month that someone mentioned Jennifer Lopez's new affection for that "utility post" in her new film 'Hustlers'. That should have counted for something yes? ...Something important.

Default AV1 & multi-HDR

Broadcom BCM7218X STB SoC should be the 1st multi-HDR SoC supporting AV1 hardware video decoding along with HEVC / VP9.

HDR AV1 video >> Internet >> future STB with AV1 decoding > decoded HDR video signal >> HDMI >> current HDR TV
