If you mean boutique, I still don't know what you mean by "boutique model". HMV crashed years ago and closed most of its shops back then. Certainly the one near me. I can only buy 4k discs by mail order.

That's the next Martin Scorsese's film, starring Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio.
And back to the big screen this time (no Netflix).
That should be a dynamite flick, based on true events (Google it).
Good to see some other people (other than the likes of my wife and myself) still read books .

Basically like Fopp. Smaller stores that are for enthusiasts. The average consumer is a lost cause.

Not sure what you mean with 5 mil. I'm guessing it's your checkbook balance. Regardless, shark fin shots are always apropos.

P.S. What you drinking there?

I picked up a Fred Flinstone size rack o' ribs from the Costco for the game. I'll be grilling them low and slow and serving them with some ice cold cervazas. You could say I'll be Dalvin Cooking with gas, baby!

Hmm, nah, I'm thinking it's the money that's fallen into your couch cushions.

Thanks. Gonna be tough. Win or lose, the ribs and beer will be good. Two great games today.

hah, like you I’m po’ ….or at most, merely comfortable. I suspect the only thing you’ll find underneath those cushions if the maids haven’t been doing their due diligence is pieces of old popcorn.

While enjoying one’s favorite brewski with friends on base, it’s advised not to reach up and touch the aircraft, nor put your cell phone on the bar, as it could prove expensive

Heres a question for you guys about Dolby vision: does it mess with your shadows at all for any discs like it does on mine? I've only noticed it on a couple of titles mind you but when I turn it on for The Deer Hunter and Evil Dead 2 it makes a lot of the shadow details on peoples faces and stuff very red. I also found it really washed out details as well in the process. Wizard of Oz had little hints of it too but looked fantastic overall so I dont understand this.
I have a TCL 65in (whatever the most recent model is) with the Sony X700. Is this a hardware thing that a calibration could fix or is it just because of equipment limitations?

Re: the redness in the shadows it sounds to me like the greyscale is off, i.e. there's too much red in the darker parts of the signal.

Sony can hold its own in other arenas, e.g. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71T-I6h98OA#t=1m12s
also, if need be, non-medical 8K post production workflow

Its not through the entirety of the presentations though or all discs, its usually about a 3rd of the movies and only on dolby vision.

Congrats, I’ll bet they gave you a helluva a scare at the end. I don’t want to jinx it but I feel fairly comfortable with our Tennessee Titans draw for next weekend....haven't checked the injured rooster though.
