pure copycat or does the thread by Arrow offer anything at all original/different?
Copy and paste so far, other than some images he got from someone else using a Sony reference monitor. He's investigating ways to start getting tools to do this himself.

well to spiff it up some, he should try to throw in an occasional pearl or two, as there is always info most people (including independent contractor colorists) are unaware of, for example, in this case with regards to a popular client monitor, 18:30 timestamp -

Some gaming related HDR news. The new Xbox Series X will feature AI-based HDR reconstruction, which will add HDR to older games that were originally in SDR. Evil Boris explains how it works.

Some innovative thinkers believe that with such rapid advancements from ^ Unreal, as well as others in the VR space, it’s only a matter of time before it impacts film departments in many productions.

What a cheeky ****!

[edit]

Still, given how utterly dead the Blu-ray software forum is at AVS I guess it needed some pepping up

I personally would like to know what is lost in tonal range, when what was color graded at full range PQ is encoded at YCbCr 4:4:4 lossless.

Because Im currently seeing way more color and white detail compared to YCbCr. Maybe its time for YCbCr to be put to bed.
