I hope Vincent Teoh doesn't watch this or his head might explode. They're of the opinion that 1000 nits is too high, and rarely feel the need for full range (I'm paraphrasing from memory, but that was the gist). And that was on a question about 3000 nit monitors and the possibility of a 10,000 nit future.

I recall that Nakamura in particular wasn't a major fan, yeah: https://definitionmagazine.com/featu...ready-for-hdr/

It'll be interesting to see if his personal philosophy has changed but he'll do whatever the content creators want him to do, if it has to be virtually SDR in an HDR container then it won't bother him. Unlike some people.

P.S.
Note to puddy, DDH, Lee Stewart, et al., I think you’ll find Capt. Kidd’s profession depicted in the movie to be quite likeable.

Thanks for the link. I see he's still using the archaic foot-lamberts units. How quaint!

Not sure where this belongs. Was trying to watch spirited away on PS4 via Netflix app but the app reverts to HDR on my OLED tv, except SP has never been released on UHD right? So how do I make the tv go back to isf expert dark room?

Reminds me, I doubt there will ever be another motion picture with real life flying in attack fighters like in Top Gun: Maverick because for one thing, COVID-19 has been even more of a catalyst for –

It’s quite fine to ask. In case nobody here steps up with a solution, perhaps try the respective dedicated device subforums here or on AVS.

Try one of the LG OLED threads here in the 4K hardware forum, other owners may have experienced your issues.
EDIT: Oops, I see Penton gave similar advice.

Easy there, tiger. I'm taken. Although I have no doubt you'll find someone to play with your pole.

C’mon, you know I’m joshing you . Although, unless you have a prenup, it might be a good idea to delete that pic of the redhead . These hotties are safer to post - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...s#post18334874

What's happening with Tom Cruise on the set of Mission: Impossible 7?
...High HDR Corona tension? ...They all need to get vaccinated...ASAP, Tom first.
Making movies is not fun anymore like it used to be ...

I really liked your post in the ‘happiness’ thread , i.e. about family. Hopefully, as I’ve gotten several PMs yearning for its resurrection, the coronavirus thread will unlock soon so we can help out others with more cutting-edge info to aid in understanding - like what was most interesting (as per my wife) from this past week’s VRBPAC meeting regarding recommendation for approval of the Moderna vaccine, but not reported by the medial.
