Hello all,
I’m a new member, so I wasn’t sure where to post this question but it is hdr related, so apologies if this is not a good place and if it’s a dumb question but I have a question about splitting audio and video from a Samsung M8500 4k player. Im looking to get a Sony soundbar for Dolby atmos and DTS x to add to my Samsung qled and player, the issue is that there is only one hdmi output on the Samsung 4k player, but the soundbar does not pass through HDR 10+ which my player and tv support. So I’m just wondering if there’s anything I can do to split that audio and video hdmi output so I could get the player’s audio to go to the soundbar but the video to go to the tv so I could retain HDR 10+. Thanks !

Speaking of football, albeit for full transparency, I admit to having a personal bias, a film about Pele colored in HDR by Vicki is coming to Netflix on Feb. 23 -

P.S.
Eh, seems the direct Corbis gettyimages link to the pic from the meeting with Pele at D.C. Stadium has since, over the years, expired, so see the middle photo of the experience in the frame holding the memorabilia in our family room….https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post15045504

How did the remote collaboration work?
"I’d complete a first pass of each episode on my own, in HDR, then complete a Dolby analysis and trim pass to SDR (at present, Clearview is only SDR). Then I’d do a first day with the clients, with them viewing on iPad Pros with specific settings and the Clearview app. We also completed multiple VFX sessions, in which up to 30 clients would have feeds from my FilmLight Baselight and a Microsoft Teams conference call to collaborate."

What about your monitor?
"We use the Sony x300. I have two of these side by side and use them with the dual output of the Baselight when grading HDR and SDR."

Given interest, ICYMI, Asa has provided deeper HDR insights as to The Crown and ClearView, etc., here - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...a#post18028452

Do You Love Me? - YouTube
For the sake of my friends Wabo and Scottish, the 10 – 11 sec. timestamp of the above YouTube video provides a cheap, easy, albeit gross test for determining any massive visual field defect in the superotemporal aspect of one’s retina. Guys, check out your vision with your partners watching concurrently as a control.

P.S.
My wife recommends you not take any over the counter meds like Ibuprofen before getting your COVID-19 vaccine injection as it can make the vaccine less effective. And Wabs since you’re a known heavy drinker and likely have some degree of underlying gastritis secondary to it, unless you have a known allergy, she recommends whenever you do ingest Ibuprofen to figure out my more prescient posts that you take 20 mg. of Famotidine?sp with your OTC Ibuprofen.

^ And Netflix is building upon a reputation for being easier to work with as compared to “The Big Six” Hollywood studios - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iX6SvqjBedY#t=20m14s , for example their trust/flexibility in the casting of Marielle Heller.

Thank your wife for the advice. That goes also for Acetaminophen?

* I recommend (again) Vitamin D. It cannot hurt during High Dynamic Range.

Yes, she says to avoid taking over the counter medications containing acetaminophen (Tylenol, etc.) too as well as the NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, etc.) before your COVID vaccine.

And regarding anyone who may have received the monoclonal antibodies as first announced last November, here - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...s#post18306808 , be it either an infusion of bamlanivimab or Regeneron’s cocktail of 2 at one of those hospitals finally (in December) progressive enough to offer it, like here – https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/l...lized/2501663/
one needn’t get a COVID-19 vaccine until 90 days after that, so no need to scramble trying to book an appointment and then waiting in line for a long time currently at an administration site.
