As I gaze upon the calendar at the days leading up to the day Maverick returns in Top Gun: Maverick, I’m reminded of an Insider musing among some select cast and crew who this week are thinking wouldn’t it be à propos (since it would establish a new record as never having happened before) if the score of Sunday’s Super Bowl ended on the final drive with a score of 10 – 9 (as there are no tenths in football, only whole numbers). Y’all will get the significance of those 2 numbers come the release of this fast-flying feature film in late spring.
