The Complete Saga box art is breathtaking; that's how you should do box set art for a complete series, because it doesn't look fan-made, photoshopped or cheap and tacky, it's epic, simple and truly represents the entire saga.

Bring on September.

Finally. The Blu-ray I've been waiting for. I was a little surprised about the 6.1 and not 7.1, but still. CGI Yoda in TPM, anyone?

Yes, that's happening and I'm glad too, because the puppet was terrible.

Granted even the CGI Yoda is no match for the puppet Yoda from Episodes V and VI, but it's vastly superior to the Yoda in Episode I.

I was hoping they'd release some new info about the set today. May the 4th be with you!

I kind of like the Complete Saga box art and all the extras sound nice, but i just dont like the thought of having Jake Lloyd on the front cover! Really? Hayden Christensen would be more fitting, but Jake Lloyd? Ugh, i still try to forget that movie.

I hope Empire of Dreams is in this set and in HD.. What a fantastic documentary! The Theatrical Cuts would be really amazing as well, but im not holding my breath.

September can't come soon enough. I knew I put off the DVDs for a reason, which means, since my VHS is broken, I haven't watched a Star Wars movie in at least 2 years.

Judging by the info provided today, Empire of Dreams wasn't mentioned. As for Theatrical cuts, that's a no-show as well (which Lucas has already stated I believe).

Well, remember they're releasing the details in little bits to tease fans.

There was a glitch earlier on the sit which means we've already found out quite a bit, but I suspect there'll be more, because what there is at the moment is all a bit bitty and doesn't seem epic enough for such an ultimate set.

True, I can see them going into more details about the extras. I don't think I ever watched the extras on the DVD versions, so I'll have plenty to plough through on this set.

Of course, the greatest release in the history of Blu-ray! Perhaps I'll do a Star Wars marathon when it comes out.

I probably will too, although I'll watch it I-VI, so it's in chronoglical order and makes more sense.

It will be IV-VI then I-III, always in release order for me! The prequels aren't prequels if you watch them first!

The covers look great I'm glad they made new artwork so we get something fresh!

Probably not, this is a major release so Fox are hardly going to change it for the UK.

Can't help it. Just too anxious to watch a Star Wars movie. Stupid broken VHS machine. Oh well, the wait will be worth it.

Maybe I am alone... but the saga art blows. I really like the original art (darth!!) and the Prequel (Yoda) is dope also. Fav is Darth cover for certain... its dark and mimics the storyline.

Totally disagree, I think it's elegant and classy, especially when it's an actual painting. The two trilogies just look too messy and massed together.

I've just checked on the Star Wars website for article about the Blu-ray release and it's saying right at the top that it'll be released internationally on 12th September.

Quote:
Bring home the adventure and share Star Wars with your whole family -- when STAR WARS: THE COMPLETE SAGA comes to Blu-ray Disc from Lucasfilm Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment! To be released beginning on September 12 internationally and on September 16 in North America, the nine-disc collection brings the wonder of the entire Saga direct to your living room, where you can revisit all of your favorite Star Wars moments -- in gorgeous high definition and with pristine, 6.1 DTS Surround Sound. Dive deeper into the universe with an unprecedented 40+ hours of special features, highlighted by never-before-seen content sourced from the Lucasfilm archives.
I don't know if this'll apply to the UK, because everywhere is still saying 30th September, but to me that seems a little too long after the US release for it to be the final release date.
