I am incredibly unexcited by those 2 lengthy extras...
Totally agree with you, seems like a slap in the face

So that Krayt dragon call is for real? Not a fan spoof? It is nearly as funny as someone overlaying a "wakka Wakka WAKKA!!!!!!" or "MOOOOOOOO!". I can't honestly believe it...

It's already hard on its way to becoming a meme, and deservedly so, I might add.

At this point, the "spoofs" section on the bonus disc seems about 12 hours too short, since it would need to include all the movies in their current versions.

Around a week after release if last years Alien and BTTF debacles are anything to go by. I've not used them since.

Bit of a let-down this set. Coming from 20th Century Fox, and being Star Wars, I was expecting top-grade PQ. The original trilogy is using the same old 2004 masters created for dvd, and now Phantom Menace screenshots have shown up, which look insanely like the last Predator blu-ray. I'm not cancelling but I honestly expected much better.

btw Does anyone here have a UK version yet? I wanted confirmation that Attack of the Clones does indeed now contain the headbutt.

Are the screenshots even from the discs though, read a lot of commments on here about people acquiring copies of the films. They may just be screens from them. I suppose they could be representative though, I read that ep 1 is the worst looking of the prequels so they may have just cranked up the DNR to try and compensate.

Screens from New Hope and Return of the Jedi at avsforum look good.

I wanted to get my set for as cheap as possible, but I though I'd rather pay an extra £10 to get my set on time. Waited over a week for my BTTF set and eventually cancelled my order after their lack of correspondence.

Sent the BBFC an email enquiring about this, received the following reply:

Quote:
Thank you for your enquiry.

An uncut version of ATTACK OF THE CLONES has recently been submitted to the BBFC for classification. However, it has not completed the certification process yet as we are waiting for the distributor to finalise paperwork. I'm afraid you will have to continue checking our website for information. You can subscribe to our RSS feed for immediate access to the latest decisions.

They've already taken my money so I can't cancel. I read somewhere that it sometimes appears that they've taken you're money but then it appears back in your bank again. But, that's not happened for me. I've emailed them about dispatch times, and delivery but had no response. I hope they don't **** about.

I know that if you pay by credit card as soon as you press the order button they'll do the authorisation to hold the funds so they'll take it from your to spend total but not from your main balance until just before they're going to send it .That stands for every supplier that only bills on despatch.

I use HMV and Play quite often and they only ever do an authorisation when the item is about to be despatched never as you have described

Yeah, same here. I just called up Tesco though, and they said it will be dispatched 5-6 days prior to release. So, that'd be today or tomorrow. They best not be lying! :P
