Use the FORKS Luke!

''Um, excuse me miss, I'd like my burger a touch on the Dark Side.... not cremated"

I guess that burnt bread brings back memories for Vader.

Don't be so sure of that, there is(was?) a member around here who liked TPM the most. People who kept up with the main Star Wars thread will probably know

And that black burger was definitely Mustafar roasted

I remember him. He got all p*ssed when I said that TPM is the worst of the saga. It's on the site somewhere. I'll edit this post when I find it.

EDIT: Post #9 onwards.

Haha, I was actually referring to Beast, but Star Wars Agent was even better at getting on everybody's nerves

Yes, but he was quickly re-captured and safely returned back to his padded cell.

Not really blu-ray news, but it's kind of Star Wars related, and I couldn't find a general news section where it would get noticed.

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news...ring-From-Film

If I'm honest, I expected him to continually tweak the original trilogy until the day he dies. Hell, I even thought that he left instructions in his will for his kids to tweak after he kicks the bucket!

I wouldnt be at all shocked, after he dies they tweak Jedi again, and he's included in the last shot with Ben, Yoda, Anakin.

And to think, the guy could've been a lot happier in his later years, and he could've avoided the fanbase backlash, if he had just left the original trilogy alone, and not included Jar Jar Binks in Episode 1.

If he simply released the original trilogy on BD in an unaltered (but cleaned up) form, then a lot of those fan haters would go away.

Well there's a simple way to avoid the backlash, give us the bloody theatricals! lol

We can only hope. He'll probably leave SW stipulations in his will though.

They wouldn't even have to do a full clean up, just the scenes he swapped out could be swapped back in via seamless branching. Like that god awful cgi singing/dancing scene in Jedi

I doubt this will happen. He's slowly become more involved in The Clone Wars over the last few years and much of what is happening in it is his idea. He probably won't do anymore big budget stuff but he'll still be actively involved in Star Wars I think.

I wish he would just come out and say "Here's the OOT on Blu-Ray. Its being released on this format unaltered and it will never be released ever again." purely to shut people up.

George Lucas is a ****ing doucebag! He must have OCD or something because he doesn't give a shit about us and only cares about his own gain. Well, unless he's surrounded by yes-men then he seems to thrive. All this is common knowledge, but that guy just pisses me off with his smugness!

And these "original visions" he had for the movies, they keep changing apparently! Was Hayden Christensen even born in 1983? Did adding a another ridicules NOOOOOOOO to the series really add anything? Other than a disgusted audience?

Bottom-line: It's always good to show contempt for your fans, George.

The whining Lucas did on that article and the way how he doesn't accept anyone else's except his own opinions on things, tells me that his personality is heavily on the narcissictic side.

Yeah yeah, bad analogy but you get the point.

George Lucas just sounds like a whiny little kid who happened to have a good idea, but then doesn't know what to do with it because he's a shitty filmmaker. That's about it for his achievements! I have lost any respect I might have had left for the guy after reading this article.

If Gary Kurtz and co. didn't have the balls to tell him NOOOOO back in 1976 (the first cut was a disaster apparently!) Star Wars probably wouldn't be as high-regarded as it is today.

Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, but wasn't George himself unsatisfied with the work of the 1st editor and fired him?

Wikipedia states the same, so I am remembering correctly
