Yeah

You know I've actually set polite msgs to some top rated sellers just to notify them that they have incorrect info in their listings that might cause some buyers to give them bad feedback if they buy it and it's not as described, and some of the abuse I was given just for trying to help them out is crazy.

The one guy I had actually ordered the item from, I knew the UK version that he was selling was differeent to his listing description which was for a US version. And they guy never sent out my item, and played me along for aboutr 3 weeks saying he had posted it and that I didnt answer the door to the postman and that the item was returned to him, and that he reposted it a second time!

All because I pointed out a mistake in his listing. I knew he was full of shite as soon as he said the item was returned once to him. Because items sit in the local collection centre for 3 weeks before they are returned to sender. And he fed me that line after only 5 days.

Man, it really turned me off eBay.

One of the things he's selling is a Naturist Magazine listed under Educational.

Anyway, I'm going off topic so I'll shut up.

Oh, there's some corkers on ebay...

There was a guy sometime last year that was selling a few autographs. Lots of big names and all were authentic (sort of, allow me to explain).

He had a publicity main cast on Endor shot from 'Return of the Jedi'. It was signed by all cast members on the photo, Hamill, Ford, Fisher, Mayhew, Daniels and Baker. He'd got a 'buy it now' on it of £100 (well below market value considering the signatures). He explained in his listing that he attends conventions etc, etc.... So, before I took the plunge I decided to quiz him where the photo had been signed. Straight away with the bullshit. I couldn't argue really with most of the cast as they had and do attend shows and do sitdown signings, BUT he told me that he got Ford at a show. Straight away the alarm bells were going nuts. Ford has never attended any shows!!! At the time this really had me puzzled because the autographs were 100% genuine and why would he need to lie about the Ford?
Anyway, I got back to the seller and gave him the facts on Ford. The reply was absolutely fantastic. The abuse was first class. What didn't call me because I'd caught him out with his bullshit was great. Then he ended with 'what do you know?'.... Er, well, quite a bit really.
It turned out what the cheeky ****er was doing was finding high resolution signed photos on the net from reputable dealers, printing them off, then going over the signatures with his own pens and passing them off as the real deal.
I caught him out (being the dumbass that he was) when he didn't realise that one site he'd ripped a photo from had put their watermark on the photo.

Thats brilliant!

I'm always hesitant when it comes to autographs off eBay. But to catch him out like that is class!

I watched all the 'new' special feautures for the first 3 films the other day. Only thing really new was a 20min thing on the added CGI animals in the desert. They had a couple of [then] 18 year old twats saying how great they made it look. Wow, yeah, Cool, like.

There was also a bizarre (maybe 2010?) 'conference' with Georgie boy and some sort of inbred looking staff members nodding and agreeing at his every intonation whilst he talked about his 30+ year old film -and then it hit me. The reason he has never moved away from these films is because he's stuck and washed up as a director and has absolutely **** all else to do with his time.

Anyway, it was nice to see the TV special making ofs in better condition although they made the whole set feel rather awkward and off balance. Very messy. The 'Saga' set is actually very very poorly conceived and is missing much of the previous releases' special features and insight. Gerogie doesn't want us to have any insight. It's a rather dumb and blind set.

I see the copyright on Star Wars says "© 1997", eh that should be "1979, 1997 and 2011". I'm not being sarcastic I mean it really aught to be that instead of the lie of that date.

He's a ****.

He's just one of millions. There is some good stuff that can be found on ebay. You just have to know what you're looking for. If it's ever Star Wars and you're unsure just give me a shout. Ford is the main culprit to be forged along with a few others that very rarely sign stuff, but thats just a whole other thing altogether which I won't go into. I'm always available through PM though if you're looking for info.

The Home Video Update Series Three Episode Five - YouTube
I mentioned the exact same thing in the US thread. One of those women is his daughter, shes a writer on the Clone Wars so I guess it was a staff breifing about that show.

But like you say about the new guys that came on in '94 when GL began work on the PT and started testing new CGI on his OT which they decided to call the Special Edition and release it as an actual film. ( I'm only joking )

But yeah, all those new guys that came on had grew up on star wars and worshiped Lucas. So they are basicaly all "Yes" men. And it's never good to be surrounded b yes men.

You just need to take a look at a few behind the scenes clips, like when they are showing GL the concepts and he's plodding about stamping the stuff he likes.

In the background everyone is all nervous and shifty eyed making eye contact with each other. Then as soon as GL picks something out and says, "well, what if we change this and that and this becomes a alien..." and everyone all of a sudden has a huge smile on their face and start nodding in agreement like hes just discovered freaking electricity or somethin lol. Not a single person dares to question him.

Yes, its his franchise, but constructive critiscism is a good thing! And GL gets none of it

Default Are all the bonus features from Star Wars DVD releases on the new Blu-Ray boxset?

Hi fellas,

I haven't had a proper look yet through it all, but I couldn't find the Yoda "Exiled to Dagobah" deleted scene from EP3 on the Blu-Ray bonus discs. The scene is on the original DVD 2 disc edition, but I can't find it on Blu-Ray!

Are some bonus features only on the DVD versions still? I really thawt all that stuff would be on the new Blu-Ray boxset aswell!

Bit of trivia there for you.
Oh wow! Thanks for the info!

Not gonna lie, between you and him I've seen 3 different spellings of the word senioetype

Haha, I'm only joking about the first quote BTW

And my spelling can be atrocious at times. I blame text mesaging

I also learned where the word Laser comes from thanks the the new special features....

"light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation"

Thats a shame, and quite disgusting. I had all the SW on VHS and just EP3 on DVD, I thought I'd wait for the Blu-Ray so then I'll have all the DVD features!

Now I have to buy SW again on DVD?!

Yeah, Lucas has a habit of only putting new extras on new releases. You could always try youtube when you want to see the deleted scenes etc. But I agree he couls have put the old features on here too.

I know I could YT them, but I kinda wanted them to watch on the TV (in HD! ) and have them all for completionist sakes.

What are the best DVD releases to get of SW to be complete then?? I've seen them reissued a few times over the years and don't want to fall into any traps if you know what I mean.

Just finished the final disc. I skipped the old docs. They seemed too old to be included without being given a facelift.

Yeah I feel ya :/

Well there is the Star Wars Trilogy Boxset

That has the Original Trilogy with all the added scenes from the '97 Special Editions + a few extra tweaks. As well as a fourth disc with some great features on. I guess the best place to look for it at a decent price is eBay, as they are pretty hard to come by new and when you do find a new one it's expensive.

Then there is the 2 disc DVD releses of the Prequel Trilogy like the one you already have of Episode 3. Again a lot of great special features and eBay would be your best bet.

And depending on if you want to own the pre '97 Special Edition versions of the original trilogy, with none of the added effects, you should look out for the Limited Editions of the original films.

Heres an example of what DVDs to look out for.

Silver Box set is the Star Wars Original Trilogy, the three lying flat at the front are the Limited Edition Original Trilogies that include the Theatrical cuts on a second disc. and on the very right you can see the Prequel DVDs.

That should add pretty much all the special features to your collection. If you don't feel like buying the whole silver boxset check eBay because some people sell the bonus disc on it's own, if that's all your really after.

I'm sorry for the long and possibly confusing post, but if you need a few clearer details feel free to Private Message me or just ask on here maybe someone else can describe them more coherently than I
