Think they'll get Mark Hamill to appear in Episode 7? That would be very cool.

If money didn't make the world go round, we wouldn't have had Empire Strikes Back. Or Star Wars.

Exactly what I said to my mate, he doesn't have to be a main character but would be nice to have an older Luke Skywalker as head of a new Jedi council.

If they can now only give us the star wars trilogy on the big screen ( all three films back to back) in 2014 then we can start with EP7 in 2015

He mentioned that he's looking forward to seeing what other people can do with Star Wars, so hopefully he's still healthy but wants to move on from that franchise.

Bet ya $50 that episodes 7, 8, and 9 will go straight to the format that comes after blu-ray...
I'm absolutely gutted. In hindsight waiting 9 years to have all 9 films on Blu-Ray would have been totally worth it.

Why would you get rid of the "Episode V" and "Episode VI" ? They've always been there.

Agreed, it was the Episode IV on the original which was added later. Shame that wasn't the only change...

Even at that, that change was made before Empire was released.

Ah right fair enough. They've always been there. Ep. 4 was the only one released without a subtitle but even that had got "Episode IV A NEW HOPE" tacked on to the opening crawl before Empire came out.

No, the Episode IV A New Hope sub-title was added for the 1981 re-release, which was after Empire's release.

Stretched over Episodes 7, 8, & 9 with fully functioning sing along subtitles so everyone can join in the fun. With the leading cast 'Darth Donald' and 'Jedi Mickey'. They didn't say. The just said they plan to make episodes 7,8 and 9 and then release a new Star Wars movie every 2 to 3 years.

This is a timeline of SW changes (click to enlarge):

http://www.slashfilm.com/wp/wp-conte...e-Timeline.jpg

I assume that it's accurate?

btw To be honest, I prefer many of the replaced special effects (obviously not the BAD CGI additional scenes such as the new arrival at Mos Eisley).

A confusing business.
