You talking about The James Bond Collection? No mention of 'complete' there?It's not rocket science you know

Just pointing out on the new reissue that it's incorrect to call this as complete, just call it Star Wars box set or episodes 1-6. Some like to point out others incorrectness, it's not rocket science

And as it doesn't contain the Clone Wars movie then there's another argument that the "Complete" saga set wasn't/isn't complete.

Conclusion: Best not to think (or care) about it.
There are Han Solo movies?

Small correction, there's only one Han Solo movie as far as I know, while it seems the third spin-off will be about Boba Fett.

I believe it goes like this:

2015 - Episode VII
2016 - Rogue One
2017 - Episode VIII
2018 - Han Solo
2019 - Episode IX
2020 - Boba Fett

Anyway I've always thought they would at some point, and still do, it's just a matter or time. I don't have as much of a problem with most of the changes that have happened in the films, but I still agree that restored pre-special edition versions should be out there, for a variety of reasons.

Personally I don't think they can ever make everyone happy, but they could certainly make a lot of people happy.
But with Disney controlling Empire and Jedi that's probably even less likely - after all, they released the cut versions of The Muppet Christmas Carol and Bedknobs and Broomsticks on Blu knowing full well people wanted the uncut versions.

Are you always this anal? It was the complete saga at the time it was produced. Get over it.

Oooooh take a pill or something. I was pointing out on this reissue the title for the set is now incorrect.

Yeah it was at the time, but it isn't anymore and this reissue set is out next month I'm not talking about the original set. Are you always anal regardless?

Yep, the spin-offs will jump around in the timeline a bit. So far, we know that Rogue One and the Han Solo spin-off will take place during different points of that 19 year gap between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, and it's not unlikely the Boba Fett movie will fit in somewhere there as well.

As far as we know it's a repackage of the 2011 Blu-rays, so Lucasfilm has to retain the same set title.

Of course you could say Episodes I-VI were the complete George Lucas saga or the complete original Star Wars saga.

Oh yeah it's just a repackage. I made a throw away comment about the incorrect title and a couple of nobodies couldn't handle it. They've been quite embarrasing actually, but you come across the odd one or two on fourms.

Yes it is hence a prequel to the original Trilogy.

Same discs, no new transfers. I highly doubt any major films will get new transfers at this point until they start readying 4K transfers for UHD BD.

Rest assured, we will eventually get the original releases remastered for Blu-ray, Disney know how much the fans want it. At the moment the focus is The Force Awakens. I'd imagine we'll get new special editions too.

Oh, I didn't know the saga box set was OOP. I still see it in stores but is about €70 which is too rich for my blood. If the remaining stock in stores are all that's left I may have to bite the bullet

The original release is still available, for now at least, at Amazon for £56.99 but there is a new version of the Complete Saga being released in November, for £50. Both reasonable prices for the 2 trilogies + the 3 extras discs, but judging from this ebay listing (not sure how they and another seller I saw got new release this early honestly ) the 9 discs in new set are in a single 25mm blu-ray case instead of the "digistak" of original UK release;

old release;
[Show spoiler]

new release;

EDIT: I guess the listing on blu-ray.com is wrong about November release, Amazon have release date for new set as today. Was the release brought forward?
Makes sense that other sellers would have it available now

I prefer the new cover art. No Jake Lloyd!

I do wish it said "Episode 1-6" instead of The Complete Saga though. It wont be complete for long!

I guess it was OOS last time I checked. I do think they're done with their original run though and Amazon just have some stock left, the new sets will be taking over soon.
