Well in the end, with the cover, it's what's inside that matters. I like all three.

And also, Play.com is listing the release as 12 September.

I don't know if this'll apply to the UK, because everywhere is still saying 30th September, but to me that seems a little too long after the US release for it to be the final release date.
HMV and The Hut say 30th whereas Play is stating 12th Sept. Not sure about Amazon though.

The cover art for these sets is abysmal. I've no intention of purchasing any of them anyway, due to the exclusion of the theatrical cuts, but years of beautiful posters for the series and that's the best they could come up with?

If you look you'll see they're actually watercolour painitings, which is a lot more than most other artwork, so to me that shows they've put quite a bit of thought into the artwork.

I believe there's a video on Youtube which shows the trailer on the Star Wars site. According to that, the artwork is continued (or at least it looks like it is) on the back of the box.

This.
I only have a vague interest in getting ep III on blu and I'm not prepared to pay full price for the bastardised versions of IV to VI.
Might pick them up after the inevitable price drop, would have to be pretty cheap though.

Don't agree with all of Lucas' changes (or his excuse for not restoring the TEs, Mr. Billionaire), but damn it all, I love Star Wars no matter what. And thus, for me, it'll be amazing.

Apart from the awful covers, I'm still hyped. I'm pleased that we're getting this before America. Roll on the 12th September!

I can't wait!! OOT would have been nice. but i never expected it so I'm not really disappointed. I think the artwork for both trilogy sets is great, especially the IV-VI set. I've had the complete collection ordered since it was originally announced, the art work is ok and easily my least favourite, but i'd never not buy a film/colloction based on it's packaging.

The extras look amazing and to those stating "they should have included xxxxxx" I'd take the 'additional content' listed on the extras disc as a still to be finalised disclaimer, so any of the missing docs people are shouting for may still be there.

I've also seen a lot of comments about people being disappointed that they haven't announced changes they have made (CGI Yoda in PM being the main one) I think theres 2 options here

1. It gives them another promotional opportunity nearer launch if they announce any changes

2. There's no changes being made, therefore nothing to announce.

Any way, still going with the complete set. counting the days away till Sept.

Loving the artwork on the "Complete Saga"

I really hope that it's worth pre-ordering. How quickly do you think the price will drop afterwards? Alot of boxsets nowadays (especially on Amazon.co.uk) have gone down in price really quickly e.g. Alien, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, X-Men. So I would be really gutted if I get this on release day then a few weeks later its £20-£30 cheaper.

I doubt it'll drop in price until after Christmas, as it's being released specifically in time for that market, so they'll keep the price as high as possible.

If you really love Star Wars the you'll pre-order this regardless, if you just like it but aren't fussed about wanting it ASAP then I'd wait.

Hmmm, on Sainsburys they put the price up to £69.99, my order still says £62.99, so I'm hoping they will honour that price when the time comes.
