Well if your order still says £62.99 then that's the price you'll pay. They're not going to charge you more than what you agreed to pay.

And on another note, Amazon now have artwork up and have changed the release date to 12th September.

I'd say it might get to around £50 by Xmas but will probably not go below that until mid-2012 and even then I'd say it won't ever go below £30-40

when the orignal trilogy came out in 2004 it stayed at £30 for years. I am not sure if this will go down in price.

Star wars dvds never go down in price and the Limited Edition's are still over £10

I've never seen Star Wars.

But, I think I'll be getting The Complete Saga when it's released. How should I watch it? I-VI or chronologically?

HMV have had the LE's for 3.99 but that was a while back. Some retailers have them for 7.99 but I'd imagine we're all saving up for the Blu-ray set!

It depends really because of course they came out IV-VI and then I-III, but George Lucas prefers to see it as one big movie, so really if you take it by him you should watch them I-VI, which is also how I’d watch it as it’s all in chronological order.

For a novice, you probably wouldn’t notice Eps I and II, and debatably III, being weaker than the original three, because you’re not as caught up in all the fandom criticism, which for the most part are just overreactions by self-obsessed fans. So watching them in chronological order won’t matter for you as you’re not waiting for the ‘superior’ films, if you get what I mean.

I think you’re in a fortunate position having never seen Star Wars as it means you can watch them in the proper chronological order and experience everything in the order of events, instead of backwards like the rest of us.

Most will disagree with me, but I’d say I-VI, just because then everything happens in the correct order and makes more sense than ending abruptly with Episode III.

I-VI seems like the most sensible to me, but a few mates have said it's good seeing how I-III tie in with the older movies.

If you go I-VI it ruins one of the biggest reveals in movie history, I'd recommend original trilogy then I-III.
But if you do know, which is probable due to people endlessly quoting it, then you may as well go chronological. But when I have kids they will see it IV-VI then I-III

I think by release date is the way to go as well, you may lose out on a 'happy ending' but it might be jarring to watch the older trilogy last, compared to the SFX of the prequels the OT may look a bit quaint no matter how amazing they actually are.

Well I think in the eyes of the people who have seen them back to front it that's the view they'd have, but the idea is to see it I-VI, as it's intended to be like a serial.

It just so happens that they were made the wrong way round, because it was only during the production the the Original Trilogy that Lucas decided to make the Prequels, which is why even when the Original Trilogy came out they still had the episode numbers on the, apart from Episode IV: A New Hope.

You do missed out on a huge reveal in Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back if you watch them I-VI, but I think it's so well-know that
[Show spoiler]Darth Vader is Luke's father
that it doesn't really matter anymore, even if you've never seen the films.

Sorry, but I'm sticking with I-VI, just because it's the proper chronological order of the films.

For internal (storyline) chronology, I-VI. Release chronology is IV-VI, then I-III.

But in the end it's what you want, and I think all are excellent films. Just my opinion.

WHAT!!!!!!

Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Don't bother with those second rate, big budget disasters they call 'The Prequel Trilogy'.

I think it depends on which Trilogy you saw first. I grew up watching the original trilogy, so the prequels sucked! But everyone I know saw the Prequels first and therefore prefer them...

I think they (the prequels) are great movies, and I did see the OT first. It's a matter of opinion (love them or hate them) to be honest, we can't really force 'em on other people, but I love 'em all. Long Live Star Wars! And bring on the Blu-ray.

I'm kind of in that posistion, but I saw the Special Editions just before the Prequels. So to me the Prequels were the Star Wars I grew up with and watch with great awe, much like in the same way I'm sure most of you did when you saw the Original Trilogy.

As such I have very fond memories of when The Phantom Menace came out and watching it endlessly.

Yup. I'm 'old skool'. Not quiet old enough to remember the first one to come out, but can certainly remember TESB and ROTJ. I grew up with 'The Original Trilogy' and have an extensive collection of memorabilia from toys (vintage and modern) to autographs. What a kick in the nads those prequel films turned out to be AND for 'The Phantom Menace'.... well, I think the less said the better.

I think (or hope) we can agree that we love Star Wars, whatever your preference of films.

To 'LOVE' Star Wars would be putting it mild. Obssessed would be more along the lines. 'Empire' being 'THE BEST' one.

Amongst a LOOOOOONG list of other things, the prequels just lack the magic.
