I just asked in chat, they quoted their price promise bit about release day, they should refund the £6, but by means ask yourself if you want to make sure.

If I'm correct I could just make out "Dutch" at the subtitles on all discs, but as it clearly isn't filmed with a steady cam : if somebody could take a picture of the back with the audio and subtitles specs, it would be greatly appreciated

Same here, at £20 I was just going to wait and maybe hint that it would make a good xmas present but at £13 decided to get it now, have just sold my 2D set for £8 so £5 to upgrade isn't too bad.

Don't know if anyone noticed but the 3D Collector's edition is very reminiscent of a limited Phantom Menace Audiobook CD set that had a lenticular cover too. Same funny black material.

I don't want the 3D disc, so it'll cost me even less.

Woooooo! This is brilliant!!! I had it pre-ordered but cancelled yesterday in favour of picking it up in-store in Aus today for $50. But my local stores didn't receive stock yet. Looks like it worked in my favour... I'll get it for $19 through Amazon at the current price... so I've placed another order and I'm happy to wait an extra week or two!

Same here and if it were just a normal case where I could remove a tray I would sell the 3D disc but with this packaging it would leave an empty space so think I will just hold onto it.

Sod the empty space, if I can sell the 3D disc for a tenner or so then that will have virtually paid for the whole thing.

And when you sell your 2D set, you'll have made a profit! I suppose I'll have to get this at £13 now too, not really desperate for it but you have to strike when the price is right.

I'm hoping JJ explains in his commentary what his inspiration was for reimagining the Tie Fighters with the red splodge of paint on one side, I want to know where he gets his genius from!

I already did, I sold it months ago. So yeah, I'll be back in profit once I sell the 3D disc.

Nice, well I missed the boat on this one as it's back up to £19.99. Was just away to order it but too late. I don't really mind, I just fancied hearing the commentary. Not sure the other new extras are anything special. I'll maybe grab it down the line when it's cheap again.

Don't sweat it just yet. We'll no doubt get an automated £6.99 refund in a couple of days. Don't enter the amazon chat room of destiny unless you absolutely have to.

I just spent a very painful 10 minutes in the chat room with an amazon rep who was denying (or at least had no knowledge) that it was ever that price

Rep: I have checked your order and found that the order the price on our website is £19.99 the amount at which you have pre ordered this item.

Me: But it went DOWN earlier in the day to £13.00. It has now gone back up to £19.99. Surely the lowest price on release day is the one that is honoured?

And so it continued ........the horror, the horror......

I'm pretty sure the poor guy was just copying and pasting generic responses from his "Hi, how are you today: 100 responses to customer queries" book.

What day did the price drop to 13 quid?

Nevermind. It was today. Checked back in the thread.

Got this today as a birthday gift. Don't want the other half out of pocket

i've just spoken to someone from amazon using the online chat, he said that it should be adjusted within 48 hours of dispatch, but for anyone that needs proof

My copy wasn't even shipped yet! I've tried to cancel it, but it wasn't possible anymore. I asked the costumer service via e-mail and I got this generic answer:

Quote:
Hello,

Thanks for contacting us at Amazon.

I've checked your order #***************** and found that the price of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens Collector's Edition [Blu-ray 3D] [Region Free] ,The Neon Demon [Blu-ray] " has dropped since you placed your order.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused to you.

Our prices may increase or decrease based on a number of factors and unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund for the difference between the price in your order and the lower price you saw on our website.

Although we work towards offering value to customers on everything we sell on our website through consistently competitive pricing, we realise that from time to time, our customers will be able to buy products from another store at a lower price than ours. We recognise that you have a choice of retailers and are grateful that you’d prefer to order from us.
