I hope, that you're right. If I don't get the refund, can you please sent me your transcription via private message?

God, hope they don't charge the £19.99 to those who legitimately ordered it at £13, I'll be incredibly annoyed!!

Amazon tend to honour those orders. It's been extremely rare that they don't so those that got in on £13 are dam luckly.

It's the ones that had it had it shipped before the release date that might possibly might get some resistance to getting the refund of £6.99.

So far they was only like a few hours of a miss price and then the rest of the day it been £19.99 so technically the price has not dropped. I am finding it hard to believe they might refund people the £6.99 for a short miss price accident.

I tend to find they only refund if they had it a lower price for the entire day.

iirc it doesn't matter how long it's that price, amazon will honour it. as mine was pre-ordered for me by my other half and she didn't even know it was 13 quid before i spotted it on here. and the preorder was only a week old. trice dropped day of release. so after shipping. there for amazon should honour it.

worse case i will just post the transcript on the board so everyone can see it. no need to hide it as nothing personal is on it that cannot be removed.

btw - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/cus...deId=201254060 - should help

I just spent a very painful 10 minutes in the chat room with an amazon rep who was denying (or at least had no knowledge) that it was ever that price

Rep: I have checked your order and found that the order the price on our website is £19.99 the amount at which you have pre ordered this item.

Me: But it went DOWN earlier in the day to £13.00. It has now gone back up to £19.99. Surely the lowest price on release day is the one that is honoured?

And so it continued ........the horror, the horror......

I'm pretty sure the poor guy was just copying and pasting generic responses from his "Hi, how are you today: 100 responses to customer queries" book.
I always make sure to place an order when the price is lowered so that the CS rep would find a proof of the lower price in my order not on Amazon price page.

Upon contacting their cs chat though, the rep told me they can't offer a price difference refund although that was on release date and that my copy was just shipped a few minutes earlier.
What he offered though was a full refund of that order and that he will contact UPS to return the item and I can get it from the other lower price order.
I got the refund and the item is still moving with UPS and should arrive tomorrow

Yeah, that's bulls***. When it was technically shipped has nothing to do with it. I can't see how they can get around the very explicit wording of their own pre-order price guarantee -

----------
"Whenever you pre-order an item eligible for our Pre-order Price Guarantee, the price you pay will be the lowest price offered by Amazon.co.uk between the time you place your order up to and including the release date".
----------

If they do hold this no refund position then that's pretty shady on amazon's part. Suffice to say, if I don't get my partial refund, my copy's going back for a full refund.

Great! Now I got this reply from the customer service:

Quote:
I am afraid to inform you that I was unable to find the mentioned price of item Star Wars: The Force Awakens Collector's Edition [Blu-ray 3D] [Region Free] in our website.

I request you to please share the link where you found the updated price of the item so that we can assist you further.

Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated in this regard.
Does anybody here in the forum has a link or screen shot, which proves, that the price was down to 13,00GBP, please? Thank you in advance.

Hmmm, I had it in my basket at 13.00 and earlier today it had the old "an item in your basket has changed price" showing "was 13.00, is now 19.00." But now it's vanished. Looks like they're doing a clean up job on it.

Amazon's CS has gone down the pooper lately. I don't know what's going on. They used to be super helpful, now they're just a pack of ignorant morons.

This is a screenshot of my personal order from the other evening. The price reads £10.83, since, as an international customer, the VAT was removed at checkout. But, hopefully it's of some help.

If Amazon Customer Service are struggling to comprehend maybe use this nice visual aid.

Everyone loves a graph.

I've used that graph and quoted their own Pre-Order Price Guarantee.

Whoever needs a screenshot of the Amazon.co.uk 13 pound price (as a proof for the customer service), here you go:

If a graph doesn't help us nothing will

Have you been using the CS chat room or have you been e-mailing them?

My package should've arrived today but it was indeed returned to Amazon UK after it arrived to Egypt

Luckily I still had the £13.00 price order and I've contacted CS chat, explained the whole problem and they waived of the shipping for the new order. Came down to £11.91 (£10.83+£1.08 import fees deposit)

If they honored their pre-order price guarantee from the start, I wouldn't have to wait another 3-4 days for my copy

After a few emails where they refused to refund the £6.99 i sent then the graph off of here and they now say it was a computer "glitch" that stopped them issuing the refund at that all refunds will be processed in the next 48 hrs. So a big thank you too fat phil for putting up the graph.
