TBH, I like all the SW films, I would say TPM may be the weakest, but really, all of them are fine for me.

I pre-ordered my Alien Anthology with them in July, yet some people were getting theirs who only ordered like the week before release.

So much for a 1st-come, 1st-serve ordering system. Plus the fact their staff would lie to you over the telephone about stock, telling you 'yes we have the stock in the warehouse and it will ship today' bullsh*t.

As with the BTTF tin, it still hadn't arrived after 2 weeks from the release date so i ended up cancelling, only just managed to bag one in the end from Blockbuster before they all sold-out.

I waited ages to get my BTTF from Sainsburys. After about a week I e-mailed them, they said that they were still waiting on stock. I cancelled it after about 2 weeks.

I have a question when the TPM comes out in 3D next year will the gross revenue continue from where it left off? which is $924 since 1999

I'd imagine it will. I think the SE's counted to the UOT and the re-releases. I think Star Wars will be re-released until the end of time....

3D is a maybe for me, not really too high on it but I may see TPM, seeing as how my Picturehouse membership includes free tickets for all films, including 3D. And yes, Mr. Lucas will become even richer.

Unfortunately this is true. Don't think Lucas ever heard the old saying. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". He's messed around with the original trilogy something rotten. Some of those drop in scenes he did for the 97 SE's where just silly. One or two were justified. As for the 3D... 'JUST STICK IT!'. Also, there will never be a 'DEFINATIVE' (that's it, you've been given everything) editon of Star Wars because he just holds back on that much archive stuff as a marketing ploy for the next release.

Tbh, I think even GL knows he can't continue on with messing around with the OT, becasue there's only so much he can do to create what he originally imagined with what was actually filmed, if you know what I mean. So, I think the 2004 DVD editions are the final versions of the films and the 3D conversions are just something extra and aren't intended to be how Star Wars should be seen.

When all is said and done, to be honest, I'm just waiting to get my hands on this Blu-ray release and nothing else matters at the moment.

What I wonder about the 3D versions is how they're going to go about it. We've recently had a Michael Bay and James Cameron presentation were they basically say that post-production 3D is the spawn of Satan if not done correctly (Titanic 3D is on it's way as well), so I imagine there will be all new stuff shot for Star Wars whether it's lightsabre battles or Trench Runs and this will eventually make it's way to the home market. I'm always interested to see new Star Wars stuff but when George Lucas says A New Hope was 30% of what he'd imagined my little mind boogles to how far he'll go with enhancements be they 3D or CGI.

I'm just looking forward to more information on the Blu's, their release and holding the box in my hand. Although it will probably snow on the 12th of September.... I am prepared to ski or make use or a Ski-doo though.

Well, the problem is that Lucas very much thinks these movies are broken and need fixing . Lucas said the problem with movies is that they're not finished, but taken away from a director. Sure, that might be true, but maybe he needs to realize that that's not a bad thing.

Some company called Prime Focus will apparently be doing the 3D conversion. See http://www.starwars.com/movies/saga/..._3d/index.html
