So does everyone who pre-ordered get the limited edition film cell automatically (it seems that you can only get the film cell edition at a number of sites now and can't get it without it)?

Who's got the cheapest pre-order price at the moment?

Anyone got any discount codes floating around?

I would've thought so. I pre-ordered from The Hut when the box set was originally announced. They emailed me last week to say that I'd be getting the Cell included in my order.

This code should get you 15% discount at Tesco Entertainment.

For info this is a code for 15% of for pre-orders over Ģ15 and not an introductory offer for new users as I was expecting - so thanks for that

Thanks for the heads up on that code

Do Tesco Entertainment take the money once you order or when they dispatch. I know the majority of places dont touch it until it's sent but I have never used Tesco and can't seem to find any info in their help sections about pre orders and payments.

I wouldn't mind but I have a loan payment going out this week so the money I have needs to stay in their for that and I cant afford for any sort of hold to be put on the funds like Sainsbury do.

I prefer the packaging of the US version, would rather get that, on Amazon.com it comes to a total of $96.47 with standard shipping, which is roughly Ģ59, still quite a bit cheaper than the UK version. However, will most probably get stung by customs, and have to pay a large fee on top of that!

Well, US/UK packaging, doesn't matter, so I'll stick with my UK Play.com order, regardless of discounts. Just want to keep the order the way it is.

Thats the only trouble with importing They're reducing the amount you can spend without running the risk of charges from Ģ18 to Ģ15 in November too.

I've just canceled my Ģ64 HMV order. Don't know if I will get it 2 days early like I would with HMV but I'm more concerned with getting it as cheap as I can. Gotta save save save these days.

I've got it pre-ordered with HMV, but much prefer the look of the US packaging!

It's so annoying, I'm already dreading the reduction to Ģ15 for imports, it's already difficult trying to keep it at Ģ18! I'm going to leave my pre-order with HMV for now, not sure if I'm going to stick with it, the set is rather pricey, and I'm in the same boat as you, need to save!

So does this actually offer any additional bonus features over the various DVD sets?

The BD's? Yes everything (apart from maybe the prequel deleted scenes, commentries and a few other bits and pieces) will be new material not on the DVD's. Most of the stuff has been knocking around on other formats though.

I wonder if that includes ALL the bonus features from the prequel double DVDs, the limited edition theatrical cut original trilogy DVDs, and the 2004 original trilogy DVDs.

Next up. Deciding what to do with my autographed DVD covers.
(Kenny Baker, David Prowse and Peter Mayhew autographed my original trilogy 2004 DVD "Gold" boxset case, while Jeremy Bulloch autographed the "Empire Strikes Back" DVD cover contained within the "Gold" boxset. Jake Lloyd autographed my "The Phantom Menace" 2-disc DVD release cover).

The DVDs still have something over the blus, untampered with theatrical versions. Shame the encodes on the discs were taken from the Laserdisc master and look a little poor even by DVD standards.

Some comparison shots of the "Special" Editions vs Theatrical Editions DVDs I made back on page 13 of the thread.

I think it's been discussed to death now, on the subject of the original unaltered versions. I'm not OK with them not being on the BD, but really, I just want to have a version of Star Wars on Blu-ray, with above average transfers, of course.
