I hope Tesco don't pull a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, I went to three stores were they had thousands of DVD's but the Blu-rays priced £14were all out of stock. Amazingly when they put the price up they 'magically' appeared....

I should have just gone to HMV and bought the one with the extra disc. We spent more on diesel than the difference we saved.

I'm sure it was because they were offering 15% off this time last year for stuff and so many people bombarded them with orders, they just couldn't get the stock to cope.

Gave up waiting in the end and cancelled them both and bought them elsewhere.
They have 2 distribution centres, one in Bolton lancashire, the other has slipped my mind! As i live in Manchester i dont forsee a problem.

If it does not arrive on release day then i will be calling them up and demanding a refund or ask them to allow me to collect from my local store.

Either way i will have it on or before release.

Got my pre-order with Sainsbury's for £48. Colleague discount and voucher code from ages ago.

Going to Uni on the 18th, was tempted to cancel and just ask for it for Xmas as I pretty much won't be buying Blu-Rays until I get a job, but it's STAR WARS!!!!!

I'm still hoping for some kind of supermarket deal on day one.
ditto, i have no idea which supermarket will have them though

i decided to cancel my pre order with tesco!

This is after reading posts about how unreliable they are, i also came across another forum whose members had major issues with Alien Anthology and BTTF blu rays.

I will pick it up on release day at my local store, that way i know i have it.

Who has the cheapest price at the moment? Everywhere i've seen seems to be £67.49.

All the high st. stores seem to be waiting for one of them to blink first!

I would be surprised if the likes of Asda and Tesco aren't cheaper come release day

United Kingdom Star Wars Early Ship With Whom?

Is there any online shop that ships before anyone else as I need to receive this for the weekend of 9-10th Aug! I normally go through HMV but sometimes the postman cannot be bothered to delivery to our house on a weekend so I have to wait until the Monday.

Still think HMV would be your best best as I sometimes receive Monday releases on the Friday even though I'm away up in Scotland. I definitely wouldn't bother with Amazon or Play if you want for the weekend. You might be in luck with Zavvi / The Hut but its totally pot luck with them with things either coming a week early or a week late.

You need a time machine
I find amazon to be decent with getting things before release date but i have prime so that might affect it.
Play have always been decent to me as well.

Amazon UK and free shipping is useless, it may be cause your prime your getting it earlier. Amazon jersey partner (never had an issue with them and ship early like the rest unlike amazon) HMV, Tesco, Thehut/zavvi do sometimes ship early but also can ship late. It is pot luck as to wether or not you get the first batch shipped early to you. Usually with me it gets shipped and on my door on saturday if it is due out on a monday unless royal screw ups screw up the delivery then it delivered on monday.

9-10th August? That was like 3 weeks ago mate. Just incase you didn't know.

I'm presuming you mean Friday the 9th of September? How exactly do you need this? You've managed your whole life to go without it, I'm sure you'll manage a couple more days of waiting.

HMV are great for standard Blu-rays, but box sets are usually sent via DHL which takes longer to arrive (usually about 5 days from dispatch rather than the usual 2/3).
