I don't think any of the major e-sellers will ship as early with these sets as they usually do with other titles, probably thursday/friday - should receive them say sat/mon/tues. I'll be doing the rounds on monday -Asda/Tesco/HMV and see who's cheapest and try to get a pristine copy (I don't trust Royal Mail with box sets!)

You's do know it's only Tuesday???

I've never had a film dispatch that early. Most likely these will be dispatched Thursday/Friday for a delivery on Saturday (if your lucky) or next week. You know when it's actually due out.

Anyone know what the deal is supposed to be with the HMV pre-order?

I've heard that you get the film cell and maybe even a t-shirt but the girl I asked in store knew nothing about it!!

The only reason i've gone to HMV is bcos i've got vouchers that I need to use. I know I could have got it £10 cheaper elsewhere but I want to collect instore and it saves me searching for the best deal on the day!

Anyone else pre-ordered in store?

If the price matters that much wouldn't it be better to wait a couple of weeks and see how low does it go? I mean do you really want that film cell(it has no value as pretty much everyone gets it) and are you planning to use that t-shirt?(I wouldn't want to look like a SW freak so I personally wouldn't ). Not sure if those are just for pre-orders or everyone but still. I just want the films, couldn't care less about the crap they might give you with it.

When I Pre-Order, I've only ever had the dispatch go through on the Tuesday, and it always arrives on the Saturday, two days before release. I cancelled my order anyway. My friends dad is a manager of the entertainment part of ASDA, he's gonna get it for me Sunday night before they close and drop it off. For another £5.00 cheaper too, so that's cool!

I'm not really bothered about the price, i'm having to pre-order from HMV as I have £50 of vouchers that I need to use so i'm stuck with the £67 price tag!

All I was asking is if anyone knows what are you supposed to get with that pre-order as I had read somewhere about the t-shirt and if i'm having to pay the higher price then i'd want it! It would do for my star wars mad cousin as a birthday present anyway!!!

I think you get the shirt when you pick up the order.

Cool, i'll make sure I ask about it when I go for it then!

I know it has been brought up before, but which order do you think I should watch them in? I need to educate my 6 year old in the wonders of Star Wars but not sure if he would follow that the PT are set before the OT if we watch them in the order that they were released. But if we do them in chronological order then the PT won't make as much sense!

I'd go with the original trilogy first, it's a bit more child friendly than the prequels and maybe try them with The Phantom Menace and go from there. Sith will probably be too intense for a six year old (both Clones and Sith are rated 12 now anyways).

Failing that stick Labyrinth on....

Lol @ Labyrinth!

I think he'll be fine with the later 2 prequels, he watched The Mummy & Returns the other week and liked it!! It's more the storyline and understanding about how they all link together. It will probably take some explaining throughout the films but I know he has already watched A New Hope and loved it so we'll be in for a great weekend!!

Yes but normally they take the money and then pack and send it! I'm sure some peoples cards for other sites have already been charged too.

Is the HMV preorder only in certain stores? My local store only has £5 of the T-SShirt not the whole thing for free!

Maybe not. You want to show them magic and excitement not bore them to death.

Yeah that seems to be the case. All HMV's appear to be offering £5 off of a t-shirt, and select ones are offering a free one. It's a different shirt in both cases tho; the freebie has the art of the OT box set on it.

Looking at some of The Phantom Menace screenshots it's probably on par with Madam Tussauds now anyway. There's no Jar-Jar there though but they do have Kim Kardashian in the Hollywood one....

I think some offer £5 off some kind of Storm Trooper shirt when you buy the set while the free shirt is a pre-order dealie...

Check these hoodies out, they look quite scary!

i have re ordered my copy from Tesco, i rang today and was told the money wont leave my account until release day? even though it will be despatched in time for release. This is confusing.

Has anyone else had confirmation that their copy is on it's way from tesco's?

I cancelled my Sainsbury's order this morning on the basis that it was more expensive than Amazon, so I pre-ordered it there instead.
