I'm in the same situation as my HMV order shipped on Weds but the post has just been and no Star Wars .

I specifically ordered from HMV as I always get my orders on the Fri / Sat before release so I'm gutted that it hasn't arrived .

Can i ask those that have the set what player they are using and if they have any playback issue as there are reports beginning to appear of problems with (up to now) panasonic and oppo players

Has anyone noticed any mild sound 'noise' in A New Hope, in the trash compactor scene?

In chapter 34: When Han shoots the bouncing shot and then Luke shouts, 'Will you forget it?! I already tried it! It's magnetically sealed,' and then Leia folows, 'Put that thing away! You're gonna get us all killed!' - there's noise distortion around the speech.

If anyone could check their copy I'd be grateful...

Same here. What really takes the p*** is that it was sent at the same time as my POTC 4 Steelbook and Resistance 3 game (Wednesday) and they both arrived yesterday yet my Star Wars is nowhere to be seen.

Has anyone received there Star Wars from HMV yet? Either HMV has messed up or there are a lot of thieving post workers out there.

Like others on here, I specifically pre-ordered with HMV because of their good track record of delivering early. And, like others, mine was dispatched on Wednesday and failed to show this morning.
With the bad weather forecast I was looking forward to a Star Wars weekend. Gutted.
I suppose because the package is physically larger than a single disc our friends at the Royal Mail must treat it in a different way.
With hindsight, I should have just waited until Monday and picked it up from my local Asda for (presumably) the same price. A lesson learned.

Exact same situation. Pre-ordered with HMV. Dispatched on Wednesday. After hearing about how Tesco customers got theres on Friday, I was expecting it today, to spend a good whole weekend with. Looks like I'll have to try and squeeze it in on whatever busy weekday it arrives on now.

The post has been rubbish lately. I'm picking mine up from HMV on Monday, that way I know exactly when I'm going to get it, and I know it won't be damaged in any way. Theoretically at least!

The problems with royal mail are what put me off ordering more online these days

In this case, i think the issue is with HMV. I had Star Wars, POTC 4, Resistance 3 with a free copy of Battle:LA all dispatched minutes apart on Wednesday. All turned up yesterday apart from Star Wars.

To make things worse, HMV did not honour their Pre-Order Price Promise with my order and charged me more than i should have been.

If Royal Mail can get my other 3 orders to me in 2 days like normal, then i think either HMV is locked into a release day only policy on Star Wars or they told us they were dispatched when they didn't really have the stock.

Either way a friendly e-mail wouldn't have gone a miss to let us know but we received no communications whatsoever.

It may be that Star Wars will come in a bigger package than one of HMV's standard parcels, maybe that's delayed it for some reason...

Yep, something definitely fishy is going on as it makes no sense why other titles have arrived early whereas Star Wars has not despite being 'dispatched' on the same day.

It seems to me that HMV have been telling porkies

If you could just briefly check on the ps3 because there have been one or two others with problems and it would help to try to isolate the problem
