Not whether or not you support/believe in/even want or care for the format... In other words ...if 4K becomes the 'standard', which movies do you think you'll 'upgrade' (repurchase in the new format?).

Seabiscuit, esp. if they saved the raw 4K scan and color corrected again since the original digital master has some baked in DNR. If not, rescan and color correct again.

That horse had heart!

To early to say. I imagine Blade Runner, Let The Right One In, Sound of Music and Nolans Batman Trilogy (for the Imax scenes) would be there.

I am interested to see how scenes will be effected with cgi that have only been made at 2k. As I think the switching between 4k and 2k would be distracting to a degree that I would prefer just sticking with 2k for such films.

Brokeback Mountain
All the Disney stuff
The Sound of Music

I don't think I'd double-dip for too many other titles, but it will be hard to resist!

As many of my favourites as I can get my hands on. Some films I've purchased upwards of 15 times over the years (I think T2 is the front runner with 19) so one more version will be a drop in the ocean.

no idea. It would depend on what becomes available and how much better 4k looks. My plan so far is the same as before BD launched. Buy new films with 4k (I know I will kick myself if I don't) and wait to make an informed decision for catalogue. Also one thing I learnt from BD, wait for price drops for catalogue films since they do tend to stay longer on my unwatched shelve.

I sure would like to see if Blade Runner would benefit from a 4K release!

But that's what we do. We are home cinema enthusiasts. We spend what we can on our movies/collections.
