I don't mind paying bills either for the most part... but holy F my utility bill (combination of water/sewer/electric) is sky high for this town.

Before I got my new HVAC unit installed a few summers ago, I have a freon leak in my old one and the thing would run ALL THE TIME. So that coupled with kilowatts being pricier in the summer in GA, I used to call it "The $1,000 Summer" cuz I would have 3 straight months of $300+ power bills alone...and that was even if the AC was even cooling my 1,800 sq. ft. town home.

Yeah, summer is a killer for me. AC going on with a big house, along with the pool pump.

I'm purchasing a new dishwasher and the ones I'm looking at don't use heat drying, so there's that.

right there with you. our water bill is out of sight some months and close to reasonable the others. like there's a very big difference in the 2. one month it may be over $100, then the next month it will be around $60. it's not like we have a pool or anything like that. and i just can't believe that 2 people can use THAT much water in a month. and that's during the winter, when we don't even have to water flowers or anything like that.

ot: moving boxes from my storage unit (finally got rid of that monthly payment ) from downstairs up to the kitchen. tomorrow i'll move them up into the attic. there aren't that many, ~20, but some of them are pretty heavy so i'm just taking it one day at a time. plus i have a few in my shop and i need to get those out so i can do some things in there that i've been planning.

Just got back from the liquor store...spent $53.56 on a case of four six packs, but got some great stuff...Creature Comforts Tropicalia, Stone Ripper, Scofflaw Basement IPA and last but not least, Bell's Hop Slam. I'm gonna have a GREAT weekend!
