Started listening to Vol 1 episode 1 & 2:

Dark Shadows: Bloodlust

Some describe it as the town at the edge of the world.

When Melody and Michael Devereux come to Collinsport on their honeymoon, they don't know the secrets that are hidden behind closed doors. But those secrets will be unearthed when an innocent is viciously murdered.

Collinsport will be a town divided. One woman's rise to power will lead to further death and destruction. Families will be ripped apart. Blood will be spilt.

And the dark forces that wait in the shadows will wait no more. For in Collinsport, death is never the end...

Just put up a US flag on our balcony and had almost the entire building out staring at me like I was doing something wrong. Now I'm wondering if we moved into a anti-American building or something, I hope I don't come home from work tomorrow with our place vandalized or something. Crazier shit has happened..

Thinking about walking down to the liquor store for a bottle of wine and some more scotch. Its only like a tenth of a mile away, so I don't really feel like driving down. That said its not the liquor store I frequent so I don't know what their selection is like.

Suns out, buns out.

Sitting poolside getting my tan on.

Only thing missing is an ice cold beer.

Display that flag proudly. If you're at all worried about vandalism, I'd suggest a surveillance system if you don't already have one. Catch any punk ass turds in the act. People are stupid nowadays.

let me catch someone messing with my flag. i'll defend that flag like i'll defend my family....with either their life or mine.

and yes, i'm totally, 100% serious as a ****ing heart attack. you do NOT mess with the American flag and let me see it happening; especially one hanging form my house, on my property. that's a damn good way to get lit the **** up, real quick.

Finally letting the PS3 cool down. I'm now watching the Roseanne marathon on TV-LAND with the girls. I can't speak for them but I'm starting to get hungry, my kid offered to cook her spaghetti and meatballs for dinner tonight.

That's my opinion as well. F**k them if they don't like it. I come from a military family, I know many people serving or have served, heck my best friend and biological father of my daughter gave his life for this country if they have a problem with the flag they have a problem with me and I'm not gonna take it! I hate when I see people deface the flag by having it dragging behind their lifted pick-up in a cloud of diesel smoke, you know damn well I'm gonna retaliate if they **** with one on my property.

first: "THANK YOU" to your family for their service.

second: my biological father (vietnam), my step-dad (vietnam), my grandfather (WW II), and my great-uncle (WW II) all served, as well. so i know exactly where you're coming from.

Thanks to your family's service as well! Just curious but did you ever think about enlisting yourself? I think about it every chance I get. At 16-17 years old I wanted to go into the Air Force but they wouldn't take me due to a medical problem I had as a baby! I even had a doctor who would sign off that that problem hasn't affected me since I was ~8 years old, they wouldn't take it. I've recently been speaking with a friend who is a Army recruiter and he's pretty sure he could get me a medical waiver for that but I've been apprehensive being the oldest recruit in basic training (I'm 30 btw). Plus, since having custody over my late best friend's daughter if I was to enlist I'd force her into a foster family or something and I can't put her through that since sending her to live with her mom in Germany isn't an option and she doesn't have other family to live with. I've been tempted to work out some agreement with my parents to have her live with them while I go through BCT/AIT (basic & advanced training) but that seems like too much to ask of them to be honest

one of the big regrets in my life is that i never enlisted. if i could do it now, i certainly would. but i'm over the age limit by more than a few years.

i scored really high on the asvab when i was in high school. and every branch called my house more than a few times. but my mom shut them down every time. she saw what it did to my biological dad and she said she didn't want her only son going through that.

i should've done it when i turned 21. but i was too busy having a good time and partying. i know it would've straightened my butt out. but i was foolish back then and wasn't thinking of anything else except where the next party was.

I still have 2 1/2 years before the age cut off for the Army but as I said I have more responsibilities now than I did at 18.

Kid was at the grandparents today making Easter cupcakes. So I'm doing my dad duty and making sure they're not poisonous. Already had one. Better have another one just to make sure. Can't be too careful.

I come friend a military family as well. My dad's dad served in WWII and was killed two months prior to my dad's birth. Plenty of uncles served in various branches. My mom's dad also served but I never met any of my grandparents. My brother was a Marine and served in Persian Gulf.

I always thought about enlisting out of high school but ultimately decided the college route. It's something I still think about and how I'd like to get into the reserves at least but it's not a good time to be doing that. My window is closing soon, so it may never happen.
