Whenever I happen to clock in late or if I have to miss a day of work one of my supervisors feels the need to "coach" me about it. Like, really? I know I was late or I know I missed last Wednesday, they don't want to hear excuses so why should I listen to their coachings? Last time I was called in, I simply walked into the office and said "Am I being fired? If not save your breath and let me get back to work." I actually gained respect from our support manager for doing this, since any one else I work with would've used this opportunity to sit and BS for an hour, while I just want to do my job so I can clock out and go home.

I work in a warehouse, and so they tend to call us by overhead intercom. If I was knew I was late/absent and was expecting the call, I'd simply ignore it, which used to piss my supervisor off. He'd call my name at least 10 times before giving up and "finding" me on my break or something. I'd have my coworkers constantly asking me "hey Mike, what'd you do? They've been calling u to the office all morning?" And I'd just say "oh I was 2 min late earlier in the week," and leave it at that. It's utter bullshit, but hey these salaried guys need something to do in between meetings right?

i actually got written up once for being sick too much. well, i'm sorry that my condition makes it painful for me to speak sometimes; or that sitting still for extended periods can be painful as well...both of those were requirements at that job...but sometimes i just can't do the job well enough to satisfy them. so i'd call in sick. plus, i had sick time saved up, so i used it for what it was for. BUT, half the time they'd just remove me from the schedule and not file the sick time so they wouldn't have to pay me. but man, did they love calling you into the conference room to "talk to you about opportunities" or some bullshit like that. hell, one time they did it and i was in there for about 30 minutes. all because i'd put "FML" in a group chat. i got shit about that because they said it was "unprofessional". well...yeah! it was because that's how i was feeling...not too professional at that moment. also, i had 4 different managers talk to me about it. tell me where the logic or productivity is in that one.

when i first started there, the first couple times i had to call in sick, they always asked if i wanted to use sick time. i told yes since it meant i's till get paid for the time. it may seem shady, but i figured that's exactly what the accrued sick time was for. later, they stopped asking and would just take me off the schedule for that day so they wouldn't have to pay me. that really pissed me off.

i hate that i got let go (and still can't find a damn job ); but it was a job that paid me money (most of the time) that i could use to pay bills.

Ha Ha, I wish sk33tr. Nah, just The Boy. Apparently The Mrs and he think the couch is more comfortable than the beds. Which they aren’t wrong. Probably had the best night sleep being on my own. Looking forward to our new beds in our new home.

Good luck again Bat’s. If they are in fact firing you make sure you unload every issue you’ve “seen” and couldn’t believe they’re still employed. Seriously, it isn’t like they are going to give you a letter of recommendation.

Heading to take The Mrs to pick up the cashiers check for our new home. Signing on Monday and trailer drops on Wednesday in the afternoon. So I’ll be hit or miss again once we get rolling.
