Up before the alarm. My wife got up to use the rest room, went back to bed, but I’m still up. Have to swing by the house to meet the painters, get trash on the curb and totes in the attic before the Texas heat really kicks in.

I fell asleep at 10pm, woke up an hour or so ago. I’m just getting some work done and may go play a bit of Overwatch since they finally added Hammond to the game. I played a bit yesterday and he’s hilariously adorable and a good alternative to D.Va.

Coffee time and waiting on The Mrs. who forgot to give me the memo we were sleeping until 0600. Had I known this I probably would have tried harder to fall back to sleep. Going to try and get a nap in today. Depends how long we are at the house though

Going to clean out my PM box again, possibly talk myself into placing an order at Nova and then off to do some errands. Found out they're having the draw ceremony (for a tennis tournament) at Santana Row this evening but not sure I'll go.

Watching Orange is the New Black and chilling while the rest of my clothes dry. Going to make a list after I finish packing to make sure I get everything. Season 6 is definitely better than season 5.

Watching re-runs of Ghost Adventures on Travel Channel and waiting for UPS to deliver my iMac. I also added Ice Cream Man to my Netflix DVD queue. I remember seeing this in the video store years ago, and now that Vinegar Syndrome has released a remastered blu-ray with an awesome cover, I’m interested in seeing it.

Oh, and enjoying my 4-day weekend.

Trying to reserve a couple camp sites at a state park we go to every September, but that damn ReserveAmerica site isn't cooperating... Oh how much I loathe that website!

Also packing up the rest of the kid's clothes and "comfort" items for her trip tomorrow out west tomorrow. I'm still trying to figure out how airlines handle unaccompanied minors, especially when they have a 3 hour layover midway which she does at O'hare International. She's going to have her tablet and a couple books to keep her busy, but I don't want her to be lost finding her connecting gates once she gets off her first plane. I'm also wondering just how much cash to give her in case she gets hungry/thirsty while she's waiting on her connecting flight, I know airport food isn't cheap but on the other hand I don't want her carrying too much money. Maybe I'll just get her a reloadable VISA card she can use. Damn I wish I had just a little more time, I would request a couple weeks off work and drive her out myself, but apparently WA schools start earlier than NY schools (little does she realize she's being cheated a couple weeks of her summer vacation).

Having a couple beers out on the patio and spending time with my goddaughter on her last night in New York. I'm going to be such a mess when we get to airport in the morning, for just shy of a decade she has been my entire life; my jobs, my apartments, heck even my dating life has revolved around her needs. I don't know what I'm going to do without her around any longer. I really need to put in for a work transfer out on the west coast!
