Took the kid to the airport this morning, I wanted to walk her to the gate but of course that didn't go over so well with the tsa agents so I had to stay at the check point.

Currently sitting on my break, texting the kid as she's waiting for her connecting flight in Chicago. She's bored and already misses "home" but I guess that's to be expected, she'll get used to her new life out west I'm sure.

Taking my last break of the day... damn today has been dragging! Kid texted to tell me she made it to Tacoma and found her mom without any trouble so I'm happy for that.

Sitting here having another cup of coffee. We’ve had quite the adventure, but I’m proud of how cool under pressure our (9 year old) son was. We were heading home yesterday and got a call from him asking us to come home because his Grandma’s ribs hurt. She fell down the day before, but said she was fine.

By the time we got there the EMTs had been called and getting ready to take her to the hospital. Turns out he went over to the neighbor and ask them if he could use his cell to call 911. The neighbor had him call us while he checked on her. Once he did, he called 911.

Long story shorter, they found out she had broken 4 ribs and her T4. Once they transported her to the larger hospital they found she’d broken 3 other ones on the opposite side another time. They kept her overnight and trying to determine what is causing the dizzy spells, meds or poor circulation.

She might be coming home today according to the Mrs. Apparently she’s not being the best patient. Because she doesn’t want to be a bother to anyone. That’s what got you in the mess you are in now lady. It just reinforces that this was a great decision and she needs someone looking out for her.

Who would of thought it would have been her 9 year old grandson. Anyway, more thinking out loud than venting. I should wrap up this cup of coffee and get to the grocery store before it gets too late. I’ve been cleaning up her room to make sure all she has to do is go lie down, but her cat has other plans

She found an apartment off post. From what i hear, it's a tiny one bedroom place though. Not sure of the living arrangements but I hope she has a plan in store (my assumption is she'll give Sammy the bedroom and sleep in the living room, but who knows). I can't judge that too much, as when I first took guardianship of the baby I only had a studio apartment, but she was a newborn and didn't need her own room at the time.

Way to go The_Donster Jr for knowing what to do in an emergency. Definitely a proud papa moment. My prayers will be going out to your MIL for a speedy recovery, the whole ordeal sounds very painful.

Left work early and just got home. Fixing a snack and trying to figure out what my Lady has planned for today, I think she wants to go to the movies which is fine with me

Just wrapped up dinner and about to talk to with The Mrs about adult stuff. As I said in another thread. Her mom is staying in the hospital for another night. They want to make sure she can breath well enough to prevent pneumonia or fluid on her lungs. Appreciate the good vibes.

i've seen the entire series probably 3 times, already. but i noticed it was on prime so started going through it again. i'm not sure i'll get through the whole series before my free 30-day sub runs out (ends on aug 13), but at least i can get quite a few in (along with some movies) before i lose it, lol.

Had a great day watching some great tennis. Damn some of these girls are big. No hat, no sunglasses and no sunscreen means I was baking all day and by the time I left, I was beat. Ready to do it again tomorrow though. Think I'm going to get some Panda Express tonight.

Well despite couldn't wear any socks today due to little left ankle still hurts wore tennis shoes handle walking around Nashville zoo it was interesting apparently lions no longer there only bears didn't see any elephants or giraffes

Having another cup of joe on my first break of the day. Trying to cancel my 5k registration on my phone, but the site they use isn't mobile friendly (Seriously, it's twenty-f**king-eighteen!). The only reason I signed up was to run with the kid but since she's no longer here I have no motivation to run it now. My fiancee has offered to take her place, but let's face it she's not a runner, she'd hate every second of it.
