Speaking of cars, here's my current situation:

My wife leases a 2018 Honda CRV. Two more years to go on that. When that lease is up we are hoping to go a little bigger (3rd row seating), so it'll either be Honda Pilot or Ford Explorer. I don't know right now if it'll be a lease or purchase, though I'm leaning towards purchase.

I drive a 2010 Mercury Milan. Bought it used back in 2014 (I think?), and at the time it had just over 60,000 miles. I drive this thing all over, largely because of Uber/Lyft, among other trips. Fantastic car, though does have some body damage. I still owe around $2,900 on it, which I am paying off next year. I just sunk $1,000 into it with four new tires, tie rod, shocks, etc. It just hit 130,000 miles and going strong (knock on wood).

Over the weekend, I was scrolling FaceBook and one of my friends had shared her dad's post selling a car. It was a 2012 Ford Fusion, and it looked great. We actually had a 2012 Fusion but we gave that up when my wife first leased her 2015 Honda CRV. I don't need a 3rd car, but it would be nice as well not to put so many miles on one car either. I could drive this one to my actual job not far away, plus ay trips I desire, and leave my current car just for all the uber/lyft. My initial plan was to pay off my car next year, and be down a car payment for a few years before buying something else. But this Fusion looked impeccable in the pictures, has only 62,000 miles on it, and is only $6,500. I noticed where it was parked in the pictures and so I drove down to look at it, and it's a little beaten up that the pictures disguised. Few small dings in passenger front door. Horrible white-out looking touch up on the rear driver-side door. A few of the body panels aren't exactly nice and flush, thus sticking out a bit. I went on AutoTrader just to compare, and you can't even get close to $6,500. 2012 was nice as that was the last year of that design before they got a full makeover. So now I can't decide what I want to do.

watching the radar...

it looks like the storm front that's moving in is splitting and going around this area; which is actually a common occurrence. most times it can storm about 5 miles from here and there's trees down and things damaged...and we don't get 1 drop of rain.

They sure are and while I knew the resale market was robust, it blows my mind that it is THIS robust. It was a niche vehicle according to Toyota but given their popularity, I'm somewhat surprised they haven't revisited it. And yes agreed, I LOVED mine so much I bought it twice especially when the safety of my first one saved our lives.

Considering you "lose" 25% value the moment the car is driven off the lot as well, it is what it is.

Those FJ cruisers are nice. I'm not much of a fan of Toyota, but I am a fan of those cruisers - always enjoyed the looks of them, even today. They're just different than any other SUV out there.
Right and I love mine SO much that I would never consider selling it. That being said, it's interesting for sure but I guess it makes sense, people want what they can't have or at least, can't get so readily.

My father sold Toyotas for years so it's the only manufacturer I've ever owned and pretty much considered. But yeah, the FJCs are unique for sure and that's what initially drew me to them. I can also speak first hand to the safety of that truck which was a huge consideration after the accident.

I’ve heard a rumour or two and it sounds like there will be a shakeup in my department in the next lil while. Probably not the next rotation, likely the one after that. It’s gonna be interesting how this plays out.

I'm b!tching about the availability of The Aftermath because OF COURSE Best Buy doesn't have it.

Why don't I just automatically order everything online now??? I have no idea. I'm hard headed.

Still a good day. We started off with monumental traffic this morning so I just went to Dunkin Donuts because what was going to be....Less Late???

Have a great day everybody.

Working. Just put in an order for a few tank tops and couple pair of cargo shorts.

I hate tank tops (more so as to how I look in them, I'm not muscular), but I want to give it another shot.

Taking my mandated meal break and continuing the planning of my escape in a few weeks. Taking a few months off to travel the country. My fiancee is always up for an adventure and suggested it for our honeymoon. The biggest hurdle is finding a sitter for my daughter for an extended amount of time...but push comes to shove we'll take her with us and homeschool her on the road next school year.

Buy you a pair of these for $25 and start doing push ups daily, that's the best way to start getting back in shape, brother.

watching gameplay of days gone...and the guy isn't very good. he keeps missing a lot of stuff that could probably help him. and he acts like he's scared to do things 'cause he might lose a little bit of health or have to use a weapon.

Oh yeah for sure, those work too but for a pretty inexpensive investment, you get a much better workout with those.

Hmm, well it does seem like it would be easier on the wrists...
And also allow you to work on your hand grip/strength..

Came home from work, took dose of NyQuil and passed out. My daughter just woke me up so that I could fix her dinner, as she really wanted my infamous mac & cheese (with bacon!) tonight...so that's what I just finished doing!
