Sitting here drinking some coffee and nursing a hangover. No new jobs on Indeed. So I might lie back down or take a shower and trudge through the day. Have to keep an eye on The Boy while The Mrs takes the MiL to a doctors appointment.

It’s kinda funny that the Trainer that signed me off just now, I trained him on Haul Truck 11 years ago. That was his first time in mining.
His career sky rocketed and he now operates almost anything on tracks or wheels.

I’m gonna stay awake for a couple of hours then try to nap before nightshift tonight.

Kid is preoccupied with her Spiderman game on the PS4 and the Wife is on the phone with her sister in the Den so I figure this will be a good time to take a nap after a day out in the hot sun dismantling and stacking wood from our former garage for our end of summer bonfire.

Another daddy-daughter date night since the wife has to work this weekend, tonight we got burgers and fries and are watching Stand by Me (1986). This movie is very easily my most favorite movie of all time, and the kid quickly became a fan as well despite how old it is.

Coffee and some breakfast as we prepare for our big hike up one of the highest peaks of the Catskill mountains today. Hope the kid is up for it because no way in hell am I carrying her up +8000'.

Same shit, different day. I just wrapped up a cup of coffee, drinking some water and thinking about grabbing a shower to go to a VA Benefit Fair instead of sitting in a house of silence. The only thing holding me back is a little of the flu bug. Last thing I want is to get anyone sick or getting sicker.

Yep, should have stayed home. I still feel awful and it wasn’t worth the drive/gas. I might try and find a local VA office on Monday. Maybe I can get some assistance getting a job there.

About to shower and shave, the kid is at Six Flags with my brother and his boys this week (he has a season pass and gets regular comped stays at the lodge) so today's technically the first day my Wife and I will be alone since we got married last month. Our work schedules have been so damn hectic lately,and with my long commutes and the rental property maintenance neither of us have really been home at the same time lately. Some exciting day we have planned, we have to do some grocery shopping and make a trip to the laundromat. :-P
