Nothing on tv so will try to finish the novel I’m reading.

Just got home from work, now we're trying to decide what we're going to have for dinner tonight.

In the process of setting up a new computer. My 10-year-old Dell was starting to give me some problems, but instead of plopping down a huge chunk of cash for a new computer right away I'm trying one my brother was no longer using. It also has Windows 10, whereas mine had Windows 7, so I'll have to get used to that, too. I already like that it's a lot less clutter and cables to deal with, though.

Waiting for the power in my neighborhood to come back on. It cuts out often enough that I wish I had a generator, but I bet they're expensive.

My only question is why in the world would you work unpaid?

I went from working Mon-Sat to Fri-Sun during the early days of coronavirus so I could homeschool my daughter. Now I'm not sure if I could ever go back to those 6 day, 72hr work weeks. Done that for many years and now I consider myself semi-retired at a young age of 35 - no complaints. Bills paid, food on table and I have more family time, that's more important to me.

Oh, I didn't mean under the table. Before this I was doing survey panels on the weekend for scratch money. The panels paid you a little bit of money in the form of store gift cards or prepaid credit cards, but I wasn't paid like a "real" job. Even a minimum wage job in California would pay way more than the survey panels I did on the weekend.

I wasn't thinking straight when I posted that initially.

Getting psyched up to work some over time today. Then home to pack up the Uhaul to move my Love into our new house in Kentucky this week. It'll be a long 4weeks as I won't be joining her til March.

Going to bed super early so I can get to work at 7. Bought 2 new safety vests for all the afternoon runs I'm going to be doing soon, hopefully that makes me more visible on the running trail during afternoon rush hour.

just finished breakfast and checking on the status of something i ordered (out for delivery). i'm also gong to check on the status of my tax refund.

I just finished loading my Love's truck with half of our belongings. Now we're back in the apartment drinking coffee/cocoa trying to warm up as I try to convince her to delay her departure until tomorrow or Thursday so she doesn't have to drive through a snow storm tonight(we're expecting 6-8").

Taking a lunch break during my second shift at my new job. Ups and downs but it's a lot better than my last job already. N95 mask did hurt my ears, though.
