I'm over in the valley near Modesto. I don't think I've been to Pescadero. I've heard of Harry's, but never been there that I know of. There was a killer Mexican food place in SF I went to once. I don't recall the name, but I think it was right next to Aquatic Park. Those burritos were insane.

Santana Row is so different now. Last time I was there it was the old school look. lol. Since they re-modeled and added the apartments (or condos?), I haven't been there. The bay area grows up so damn fast.

Just changed a burned-out reverse bulb in my Civic. Almost time for dinner.

Getting ready for a Friday shift at work. Looking at the requirements to enter and finish the BSN program at NMSU. Figure a second bachelor's would make me more marketable overall and give me the foundation I need to pursue an MSN with a focus on case work. Would be quite a feather in my cap after going for so long without a college degree.

Also considered the school of social work but the BSW is SO similar to my Family and Child Science bachelor's that I'm going to guess it would just cost me thousands of dollars and add almost nothing to my employment prospects for my trouble. Plus it's harder to see which classes I would still have to take, looks like I already have a good start on the nursing program requirements from the 132 credits I completed to get my first bachelor's.

Final thought - at least pursuing a second 4 year degree would be a good fall-back option for the spring if I don't get into the Marriage and Family Therapy graduate program at NMSU.

Coffee, news and surfin'.
My Aunty is in town so we went for dinner at an Ethiopian/Italian restaurant last night and it was good.
While there we discussed having a bbq and decided on my place. I'll be picking up some nice rib-eyes later on today.

That looks like a tenderloin. I've only done those a couple of times. It's very, very nice steak!

sippin' on some coffee, looking at an email from my Mom, regarding her (and my sister's family) visit and all the social engagement and events she has planned. How I grew up in this family is beyond me, I'm SO unorganized and don't plan very well (at all) LOL

Got three new poster frames today, so I finally hung some movie posters back up on this wall. Excuse the window glare.

cooling off and being wet. it finally didn't rain on my off day, so i got to cut the grass after more than 2 weeks of heavy rain and quick growth. i had to cut the back twice as it's so thick. i was ALMOST done with the front (maybe 5% left) when it started raining.

but at least i got most of it done. i'm just tired of all the damn rain.

Well you'll be happy to know that the forecast calls for nothing but clear skies and 100 degree temperatures

Watching Discovery before bed and noodling around with ideas on how to get into the BSN program at NMSU. I may have to have my schedule adjusted, which I'd really prefer not to do. I think what I need to do before doing anything significant is make an appointment with a nursing advisor and see what my options really are.

Just reached out to the Family and Child Sciences Education (whut, this sounds almost exactly like my Family and Child Science degree lol) professor, who also happens to be my professor for that informal teaching course I took last term as I was wrapping up my first undergrad degree. We'll see what she says. Neither nursing nor teaching appeal to me as much as case management but I think being an education case manager could be quite rewarding and the nursing program looks like it would be a lot harder to get into and through than FCSE.

think I'll play Folklore and stick to this time. I am tired of always doing multiple things but never sticking to something even if I enjoy it.

I’m at Dave & Buster’s for the first time in over a year, bout to nab some food and then play some good ol’ fashioned arcade games. Hopefully my aim/reflexes haven’t regressed since the pandemic. Being fully vaxxed feels good.

Using Autodesk Revit and "Kitting" or prefabbing our electrical power devises for a new school project we are working on. Also watching the Olympics, i consider this multitasking.

SUNDAY:

I'm watching Smackdown.

I just noticed a new Underworld collection on the front page, so I'm gonna check that out. Hopefully Maria Hill will be out tomorrow in Marvel Strike Force.
