Surfing the web while listening to Bruce Springsteen's The Magic and watching the Chicago Cubs stink it up on TV.

Hey Civiclx, have you been there before?
Hey buddy, I haven't heard of it before but I Googled it and checked out some pics and the food looks AMAZING I have quite a sweet tooth so pancakes, waffles or French toast with berries or chocolate or caramel are where it's at for me. I definitely have that one on the list now.
I did go to Bill's in Willow Glen with my mom back in 2019. She was down visiting and I had awoken to an email. I think it was Trip Advisor's top rated restaurants in San Jose and to my surprise, it was number two. I hadn't heard of Bill's before but I would have thought the number two rated restaurant would be some fancy or exotic place. We went and it was delicious and for as busy as they were, the service was very good and the food arrived in great time.

Another restaurant that I can suggest is Portola Kitchen which is right off 280 on Alpine. Have eaten there a few times and liked it. Have you been to Alice's on Skyline Blvd and do you ever get up to Big Basin or Boulder Creek?

And now I've just ordered like my eighth or ninth pair of Adidas sweatpants in the last few months. I'm too old to be spending this much time in sweats!

Just got home from work, a little early, my wife's in one of her moods so I think I'm going to make myself scarce for a bit and just watch a YouTube video or two.

That’s the male survival gene (MSG) kicking in. It’s elvolved over the centuries to keep us alive. Mine’s not quite there as the rolling pin lumps on my noggin will attest.

Waiting in line for my iced Americano with extra shot of espresso. Zing!

If you're anything like me this is a never ending task. I never realized how much crap I've accumulated over the years.

o/t: Paying my cable bill (which went up $6 this month w/o any explanation). Researching portable tool boxes for the back of my truck and trying to convince my wife to join me for a drive later and to take a hike. She finally got a call from her previous employer and they want to hire her back full time.

Hahaha thanks for the laugh Wabo... I've tried to have a little compassion for her as she's been stressed over trying to find a job and her overall health. Fortunately she's got a biopsy scheduled for later this week and she just received a call from her former employer asking her to come back to work so things are starting to look up for her at least. Its funny it sounds like her first assignment (she's a travel nurse) back is going to be at the same hospital she did her residency at 10 ish years ago, back in New York.

OT : Just finished dinner, now we're getting ready to watch New York Prison Break: The Seduction of Joyce Mitchell on Netflix. I actually remember the Dannemora prisoner manhunt, I lived about two hours away from that prison.

Suffering, suffering, suffering. Still helping someone and won't be done until Wednesday when I get back home. When I get to the office, i will probably kiss my desk. On top of this, my bill account is overdrawn. And i cannot get my paycheck in until Wednesday when i get home. My oldest sister is going to blow a gasket. And after she helped me with getting the guitar. And I got an extra $200 last week too. I don't blame her either. I should just stick a fork in me and be done with it.

Was down South for the week and just got back. Had excellent weather aside from the usual rain. Trying to get caught up! Cheap gas down there at $3.80. Now back to $4.60

Funny how $3.80 is considered "cheap" nowadays.
Could be worse we could be out in California where gas is well over $5/gal

OT: Showering and drinking another cup of Joe before I gotta take the wife to a doctor's appointment.
