Wasting time at work watching things I shouldn't and trying to pass my mind's clock.

I've found that generally speaking my employers are okay with me reading on the clock instead of looking at screens as long as I get my tasks done. Brushing my teeth and playing a bit of Madden before I hit the gym and go to the grocery store, then tonight's 4-8 shift.

I just enjoyed some low sodium turkey wrapped in Swiss cheese doobie, my last meal until late Wednesday afternoon. Tomorrow I begin fasting and drinking lovely liquids to help clean my colon out. Then on Wednesday I get the old anal prob to see how the colon is doing. It's gonna be a long day and a half!

Grilling up some burgers, brats and hot dogs for the fam. The Mrs is cutting up condiments and cooking corn on the cob. Root beer floats for dessert. That's how you take on a Monday.

Just paid a hospital bill and brushed my teeth, watching more YGO GX before bed. Working 9-1 for CK and 4-8 tomorrow for my other job so I'll have to turn in my time sheets and run 4 miles on the dreadmill between shifts.

I'm sure mine doesn't really either. What I'm wasting time doing though is generally frowned upon. And NO, it's NOT THAT.

Sitting on the bus after a hard 8 and wondering what’s for lunch. Tomorrow is my one day off for the week so sometimes I’ll eat at a restaurant on Tuesdays. I think to save money it will be down to Costco or Wendy’s via their app deals. Hot dog, soda and strawberry sundae (maybe even a slice of pizza) or free baconator from reward points and a large fry for free with my soda purchase.
Hmm, I’ve got some touch choices to make!

Thinking about packing up the kid and going for a long drive tonight. She's been cooped up in this apartment all weekend through today while I've been working I think we need a little getaway. Her birthday's coming up Friday, and she's flying home to her mom's on Saturday so I'm running out of time to make this trip special. I thought she'd change her mind and want to extend her visit through the month of July since I'll be off work and we could go on a big road trip or something, but she's got other plans at her mom's this summer instead.

I’ll come visit you and you can take me on a road trip! Where are we going?

Forget that, I'll come visit you. I could go for some In-N-Out and Zorba's. I forget, you're in southern California correct? Anywhere near Riverside or Colton by any chance?

I'm in San Jose in Northern California. With no traffic, I'm about 45 minutes South of SF and a little over 3 hours from Yosemite.

You're still in Kentucky? There was a female Marine in my shop who was from Kentucky and got damn her twang was strong

Oh, I don't know why I was thinking you were from southern California. Northern California even better, there's gotta some decent hiking and mountain bike trails near you am I right? That dry, desert heat in Southern California was killer in August 2020 when I was there. I thought I was going to get heatstroke when I hiked up to the Hollywood sign.

Yup still in Kentucky, for another month or so. Yeah, the acccent is thiccckkkk around here, I'm sure @BWBODDY can confirm, although he's probably from these parts so its more like 2nd nature to him (no offense, buddy if you read this). I literally have a hard time understanding a lot of the guys I work with. I was born and raised in upstate NY and I've had people tell me I have a Boston accent sooo it is what it is.. lol

I remember when you came out here for work. I haven't been to SoCal in 20 years I think. I can't believe it's been that long but I just haven't really had a reason to go back or at least a reason that I needed to go back.

I think we have some good riding around here. Nothing hardcore but I've heard that you can find some gnarlier riding in Santa Cruz but I'm definitely not skilled enough for that. We do have some nice state parks and of course we have the beach. That's here in the Bay Area. Plenty of mountain scenery outside the Bay Area so we should have most of your wants covered

I have a supervisor that's being transferred to Mobile, Al. He's leaving tomorrow. He's originally from India so I think the South is going to be a bit of a culture shock for him Will you be moving back to New York?

I'm hoping to get back East to visit my parents again in a couple months. I have only seen them once in four years. They moved to Georgia back in March of 2020. They're in Brunswick now which is on the coast.

You seem pretty spontaneous from your posts. Like just rereading the first part of your post about packing up and heading out for a drive tonight. I like that. I'm not as spontaneous as I used to be I guess but I still like the idea of doing things like that.

About to help my father move some chairs before I go talk to Hearts of Hope about a possible DDW job. I'd rather not leave my current DDW job so soon but I haven't even been there 2 months yet so they don't make my resume, Comfort Keepers is almost 9 months somehow and that does make the top of my resume. Not so bad, hoping it'll get to 1 year plus before we move to solidify the top of my resume a bit. Think it goes CK, Quality Life Services and Community Options. Not so bad but clearly not getting me the kind of jobs I want.

Just set up my tent. Camping out with the dog.

My dog was misdiagnosed by the vet. She’s been limping and they did not take X-rays at first. Bloodwork showed Lyme disease. The antibiotics did not help. She broke her leg on Monday night and it was traumatizing to see her in that level of pain. I knew she broke her leg.

Took her to the vet on Tuesday and they finally took X-rays. She has Osteosarcoma which is cancer of the bone and it’s really bad. It weakened the limb which is why it broke. I wish they diagnosed her two months ago when I first took her. Now she’s pretty much Immobilized. They recommend that she be put down. Trying to spend as much time as I can with her. She did not want to come inside. She’d have to be carried anyways. So I’m camping out with her tonight to keep her company.

This is brutal.
