Posting spree at my sister's house, want to give the dreadmill at the house another shot despite the fact that it's not calibrated correctly. Can always just run and look at what my watch says my pace is till I hit the target distance and then get off.

Normally, I'd be at work until 6:30pm but I'll get off at least 4 hours early. I'm still not sure if I'm going to try and use public transportation to the airport or just use Lyft which was the original plan.

Also, I'd like to get at least one test ride in before my trip. Like I mentioned in another post, I was just too nervous about going for one yesterday. This would be my first ride on a bike that big 540+ pounds and over 1200cc and I'd be venturing out onto public roads for the first time. The three motorcycles I've ridden before all had mid foot controls I think and a couple of the Indians I'm looking at have forward foot controls. I think I'd definitely feel more comfortable with my feet right beneath me when I'm riding.

I'm still considering going with a cheaper bike first. I really don't want to buy a close-to $20,000 OTD bike and suffer the "trauma" of dropping it for the first time or having it slide out from under me.
Anyway, maybe I'll be able to get into the shop tomorrow and go for a ride on one.
Just my opinion but yeah i would not start with a brand new shiney one if this is your first bike. Chances are you will lay it down once or twice and is much better doing it to some cheap used honda starter bike imo.

Hit Wendy’s for their 1 cent Junior bacon cheeseburger. Happy Cheeseburger Day!

Also encountered a mouse in one of my traps. I’m not sure if he is the mouse I’ve been looking for but the less the better. Kitchen seems to be quiet this week so maybe I finally caught the rogue.

Playing smt5v before I run 8 miles at anytime fitness and go on another posting spree at my sister's house. Supervisor approved time off for both trips to Minnesota next month. Hopefully I can pick up hours to replace the lost income.

It takes a little getting used to with front foot controls, but don't overthink it. About a year later, I traded it in and got myself a new Harley Dyna model and then added another $7,000 to $8,000 in after market parts to make it "mine". I added an S&S air filter, Vance & Hines pipes, 18" ape hangers and a bunch of other Harley and other after market parts. Sold the bike 10 years ago and have not road one since, but I am still licensed here in PA. Only now do I miss that bike....for the last 10 years, I was OK for whatever reason.
Thanks Fors. I'm not familiar with the different types of bikes really but I'm slowly learning about what's out there. When you say Harley Sportster, it makes me think of their Sportster S which I think is a really good looking bike. It's one that I would consider if I was set on a Harley. That model and their Nightster caught my eye but they've got some other good looking bikes too. How long is the license good for? I think mine will be good for 5 years which is the duration for the regular Class C license. Would you consider getting another bike now that you're starting to miss the old one?
Below are the Indians that I'm thinking about. I'm also considering Royal Enfield or maybe going with something completely different like a dual sport. Actually, ORVs are what led me to this point to where I'm now thinking about getting a motorcycle. I might not feel quite as bad about dropping a dual sport bike (I probably still would actually lol) since that's one I'd be taking off-road and perhaps hammering it a bit more than a normal street bike. Up in the mountains, there are a lot of places to use a dirt bike but not so much in the Bay Area. Luckily, San Jose does have a motorcycle park so it wouldn't be too hard to get my off-road use right here at home.

I do agree with you. I think that most people would. I can get a bike that's already depreciated and has been dropped more than once. It's got its share of dents and dings so when I add a few more, I won't feel so bad. But I just really want to get a new bike and I don't know that I'll ever want to buy more than one bike. I would like to get the bike that I really want (assuming it's a good fit for me) and just stick with that one for a long time. Also, let's say I bought a used bike for $3,000 before I end up buying the $18,000 bike that I really want. Maybe I get $1,500 for a trade-in on that used bike. I've now spent $19,500 for the $18,000 bike that I really wanted.
But again, if I was my most sensible self, I would definitely take your advice

Dang I still haven't had Culver's, need to try it soon. Always looking for good burger joints. Fixing pasta for dinner then heading back to anytime to use the wifi.

Ask her if you can get a 3-wheeler. I don’t think you need a license for those
