That model and their Nightster caught my eye but they've got some other good looking bikes too. How long is the license good for? I think mine will be good for 5 years which is the duration for the regular Class C license. Would you consider getting another bike now that you're starting to miss the old one?
Below are the Indians that I'm thinking about. I'm also considering Royal Enfield or maybe going with something completely different like a dual sport. Actually, ORVs are what led me to this point to where I'm now thinking about getting a motorcycle. I might not feel quite as bad about dropping a dual sport bike (I probably still would actually lol) since that's one I'd be taking off-road and perhaps hammering it a bit more than a normal street bike. Up in the mountains, there are a lot of places to use a dirt bike but not so much in the Bay Area. Luckily, San Jose does have a motorcycle park so it wouldn't be too hard to get my off-road use right here at home.Attachment 307404
If I was to get another bike, it would be something "one off"...not necessarily from a manufacturer, but more of a customer build....something no one else has. But I will say I like the bobbers, that would be a good choice IMO.

My license is good for life as long as I keep paying to get my drivers license renewed every 4 years...no need to ever take another test of any kind again to keep it here in PA.

I will just add.....you only live once and no one is promised tomorrow, no matter if you are riding your bike or walking down the street. Never live your life in fear or what "might" happen.....you are only here on this earth for a short time, might as well do what makes you happy. I got t-boned on my bike (womans fault) and got a bunch of road rash. I wasn't wearing a helmet and still never put one on afterwards. I live my life on my terms, if I was meant to die at that moment, helmet or no helmet, it would have been my time to go. Again, no one is promised tomorrow....which is pretty much how I live my life, and its been pretty good to me so far in the grand scheme of things.

Cedar Point announced their brand new roller coaster opening sometime in 2025 - was just reading about it. Looks like it will be quite fun.

Had the alarm set for 8 and woke up a little after 7. Cool, I got another 45 minutes or so. Next time I woke up, it was 11:31pm and I was already an hour and a half late for work. Yeah, I had my alarm set for 8am I clocked in at midnight and used 2 hours of annual leave to make up for the lost time.
I work from 10pm to 6:30am and my flight leaves tomorrow at 6:20am. I was going to work half a shift tonight and then use about 3.5 or 4 hours of annual but I decided to take the whole night off. I'll have less than 8 hours of annual left for the year but I don't plan on using anymore this year so I should be alright.

7:26am so I'll play some PS4 for a bit and then I want to try and get one test ride in before my trip. Along with that, I still have to pack and clean up my apartment. Should be all good though

I saw that. Looks pretty rad.

Exhaust dude never called me back-no surprise there.

Called the backup person and he answered right away. Dropping it off tomorrow.

I've gotten quite a few things in the mail saying I'm pre-qualifed for various credit cards. In addition to the two Capital One Mastercards and the Military Star card (can only be used at the Exchange site) I currently have, I'm waiting for a Chase Visa and a USAA Visa. Well I just applied for a Discover card and got approved for a $7,000 limit so that will bring my total available credit to just over $40,000.
I've gotten into credit card trouble before when I was younger but I'm older and more mature now I'll use them to keep the accounts open and keep working on that good credit history and then I'll use them to earn cash back as well.

Do you have other regular term debt like a car payment or mortgage? A big high five for staying out of credit card debt. I have been there and done that with credit card debt myself. I currently have around $20,000 in available credit on credit cards, but no current balances on any of them. I will never get into credit card debt again...it held me back from so many things for so many years trying to get rid of it. Now, the only debt that has activity on my credit report is my mortgage and I sleep better at night for it.

Thanks! Glad to hear that you learned your less the way that I did. My only other debt that I have is less than $8,500 left on my car payment. A big down payment is to thank for that. I could actually pay the car off now but I'm saving the money the down payment on that new bike
I do look forward to seeing the scores go up with the increased available credit. I did take a 4-point hit on one of my scores (according to CK). That was an instant update. I've checked since applying for the two other cards and I don't see any hits yet.
Oh, and I have about $550 on the two Capital Ones right now and that was mostly just to use them to earn the cash back. I'll probably wipe them out today or tomorrow.

Question that you'll probably know. I guess scores don't go up every time you make a payment but that good payment history adds up. If you use your card and pay off the balance before the company reports it to the credit bureau, do you still get credit for making that payment? I'm assuming the question makes sense.

It depends on the debtee/creditor and when they report their information to the credit bureaus. I believe they simply upload the "up to date" information on the day it is reported.....therefore, if you have a zero balance on that specific day, then any activity occurring during that time from the last time it was reported would not be indicated, as they report their information on a monthly basis, not daily.

I had mentioned something but then deleted it. Capital One reports the balance on one of the cards on the 3rd of every month. I think the other card is right around the same time. So I've thought that when I use it, I should use it around that time so it will show up and then after I pay it off, it will be gone.

It's time to get some lunch. I'm thinking just Costco today as I want to be fairly quick and then I'll try and hit the Spirit store to take an Indian for a ride. I think I'd feel a bit more comfortable taking one of the Royal Enfield Shotgunn 650s for a test ride as it's a smaller (engine wise) bike but the Scout is what I really want so I should probably start there

Your choice of an Indian bike is a good choice. Nothing is wrong with a Harley, but you see a lot more of them on the road than an Indian....plus Indian just have that "look" to them (it all starts with the seat). If I could afford adding a monthly payment for a bike, I probably would have pulled the trigger on one this past summer.....I have lots of thoughts on what I would want my bike to have, and it wouldn't come cheap.
