Thanks. It's crazy but I'm back online by some miracle. I am on a different grid so my neighbors still have their generators going. Still trees all over the roads. I will enjoy the heat this evening along with having my TV and internet back.

Edit…this post didn’t age well. Power went off shortly after my post. Came back on about 5 hours later. Seems to be good now.

Getting ready to head out of town for my last trip this year. If I read the forecast right, the low tomorrow could be 16 degrees Looks like cloudy and snow too so I have no idea what I'll be doing with my time lol I'll bring a couple books and keep busy somehow. Just gotta pack a bag and I'm outta here!

At work doing as little as possible. I'm trying to relax and recover from last week's marathon. 5 parks in 5 days really wears one out. On top of that, I wasn't feeling too hot to begin with. On the plane ride to Orlando I got sick and threw up all over myself (long story). Then mid week I got this huge gash/rash on my right butt cheek, but just slightly above. It made park travel and all a real pain in the ass. The swelling/gash has gone down. However, it's going to take me a while to get over this thing on my ass. It will take a while to recharge the batteries as well. Theme park vacations are daunting. At least this week is super slow.

Quad would not turn over. I assumed it was the battery so I had it tested and it came back bad so I got a new one and put it in. The dealer is such a ripoff and charged me $150 for it. Of course, Amazon has it for $100 as part of a BF Deal…

Oh well. Live and learn. So I took the quad down the road and it died! I nearly had a heart attack but it started back up and I got home. I assume it’s bad gas.

At my spot for the night. Going to try it with my shorts, a long-sleeve shirt, a pair of merino wool socks with slippers and two blankets. It’s only 6:11pm but I have been up since about 9:20pm last night. Have a feeling I’ll wake up early and have trouble falling back asleep even if I am nice and warm. If I do wake up, I hope I am indeed nice and warm.

2:28am and it’s gotten colder but I still feel good. Te rain was coming down around midnight but it was eventually replaced with snow. I can see it on the windows but haven’t opened the door to check the ground yet

When I was a kid in the Boy Scouts, we would take monthly camping trips. Sometimes they would be in the dead of winter and all I would wear to bed is a tee shirt and underwear sometimes. I never got cold. Just me, a tee shirt, underwear, and a sleeping bag. I was never one to get cold. I like the cold. I like heat as well. Or I used to anyway. Nowadays, I can't stand the heat. I sweat too much and I hate sweating these days.
