Stopped by the local bakery and picked up 3 half loaves of sourdough. Plain, dill pickle (a fave of ours) and olive & cheddar. Being a big fan of green olives I'm looking forward to this one. Now about to hit the coffee shop.

I've only seen a couple recitals of this poem by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. I would have to say that Michael Sheen's 2021 reading is top tier for me but this one here from an actor that I'm not familiar with, is fantastic as well.

I'll include this one which I had watched just before. I have not seen any of Sir Anthony's older films so I'm not used to seeing him so young. Of course he has the amazing voice and the eyes...

Picked about 2 dozen avocados and planted 2 chili pepper plants. There are more avocados, but those aren’t ripe, yet.

Got out of the shower.

Placed 2 orders on eBay. Looking @ placing a third. I need to avoid that website.

Friday: Worked usual 7a-4p shift.
Friday night: Drove Lyft 6p-6a.

Saturday: Drove Lyft 4p-4a.

Sunday: Mowed the lawn, did 2 short separate rides, shot pool, and went to a local festival. Then went home and watched some Big Bang Theory before dosing off in the recliner.

All in all; did 60 rides this weekend (usually would be 30-35), made a ton, and now back to the day job.

So for those following along...

My daggone rearview mirror fell off. That has never happened to me with all the cars I've owned over the years. I discovered the windshield was not OEM, so that was likely the reason for it failing.

I picked up one of these kits and meticulously followed the instructions.

It worked for a week and even survived a trip to Atlantic City. Earlier in the week, I was at Sam's Club and came out to it dangling off the windshield. It was super hot out. I checked Google and apparently the glue can fail in excessive heat, so that explains why it just fell off while the car was parked in the lot.

So I went back to Walmart and purchased another kit but I was super reluctant as I already wasted $11 on the first one. A friend of mine suggested calling the local glass place considering they do windshield installs. I was like nah they probably charge a fortune but figured a quick phone call to inquire wouldn't hurt.

I called them up and they said it was a simple job and only took a few minutes and would be $15. So, you're telling me for $4 more I can get this professionally installed? SIGN ME UP!

Got it done early this morning. I hope it holds.

McDonalds screwed it up when they got rid of chicken selects. This new version of their chicken strips are trash imo.
