I think the longest I saw was 2 hours for Siren's Curse, which is typical as that's the new ride this year. Most of the other bigger rides at max seemed to be around 45 minutes long. TT2 ran all day without any issues and the line remained around 90 minutes.

I’d wait 2 hours for Siren ..
I’m sure they sell some ultra line skipping pass for a small fortune? I’m still upset Disney switched to that method after offering Fastpass for free for so many years. It was inevitable though.

Yeah, Fast Lane.

You're paying to line jump. It's a scheme. I get it, it sells, and everything is about money. Still hate the concept.

Yup. They get ya for everything. I hate the tiered pricing structure. I get it…but it sucks.

How is that different from any other day of the week? That's all y'all do around here.

It was a long drive so I wore my slacks and then put on my suit jacket and tie when I got closer. By closer, I mean the parking lot.

Sorry for your loss but 92 is a helluva life.

I dress formally for funerals because it is how I was taught. I continue the tradition as an expression of respect.

I noticed that I was in the minority, except for the funeral home staff I was the only one even wearing a tie yet alone a jacket. That's ok, though, it is not for me to judge people for what they choose to wear and I am certain that their presence was every bit as much an expression of respect as was mine. We were there for the family and for each other.

I didn't even personally know the deceased (it was a friend's dad whom I'd never met, but I went for my friend), but I still wore a dress shirt, tie, dress pants, and dress shoes. And I'll continue to do that for any funeral I go to.

That's nothing new and is actually common practice. At least in the area where my mom was from. People down in the south and rural towns usually attend funerals wearing jeans or overalls. Their shirts are not any more special than that either. Basically a tee shirt or a flannel button up perhaps. It's been going on as long as I can remember. Any time anyone died in my mom's family, It was usually me, my oldest sister, and mom who "DRESSED" up. We stuck out like a sore thumb. These people are so country, down to earth, and have no pretensions. So, it doesn't bother them.

Plus, they often grew up poor, lived modestly, and didn't have the money for nice suits and dresses. At least not the ones you would wear at a funeral. Nor did they have access to those kinds of "fancy" dressing. they didn't have "fancy" stores to shop at and get the nicer things. They did with what they had. It was usually the local shop or maybe a K-Mart or something. In fact, It's still that way to some degree. Of course, they can shop online for stuff. But it's ingrained in them so much they don't think about it really. They were always very modest people and didn't think anything about "fancy" dressing. Often times, their idea of fancy is much different than ours. My mom's family loved each and every one us. But I'm sure to them me, mom and my oldest sister were "city slickers". Not to mention the fact that

Spend 2 hours is scorching heat? Or skip the lines to avoid all that heat and sweat? I'll take the later every time. It may seem like a scheme, but it's actually the best idea they've come up with. Love the concept.

TUESDAY:

I think I missed Monday!!

The toy tuber show was awesome this weekend and I bought so many Jada Street Fighter II figures and finally scored the Psylocke hostage back and a retro classified Rock and Roll.

I built the Lego Haunted House 3 in 1 set and it's very disappointing.

Oh well...tomorrow is another day.

Have a great week everybody.

Just got back from a heavy workout....had another guy come up to me and tell me he can tell I have gotten bigger in the last 9 months. Those kinds of words sure do make it easier to keep going.

Just got back from the dentist. No cavities but the usual “ya need to floss more” spiel. The hygienist was nice and took it easy on me. Even gave me a face massage which was different.

Picked up some salmon for dinner.

It's that time off you should get compensated for working extra, but when it comes time to take it you end up working anyway because there's still crap continuing to hit the fan.

Damn, we're having the same couple of weeks so far, then. Exactly why I haven't taken that comp day, which I was hoping to take Monday yesterday.

Edit: Crap. Could'a sworn it was Wednesday. Been that kind of week already, obviously. And I just asked Google if today is Tuesday lol. Sigh...

We sure are. As of today, this recent issue might have to do with the migration of servers from VMware to Flex Cloud, but we'll find out more tomorrow I suppose. It's going on like Day Five and I'm just about over it, but if we found something that is production-impacting, then that's a feather in our cap as a testing organization.

DUDE, that was me last week cuz I was stuck in Groundhog's Day...thought it was Thursday, but it was only Wednesday.

Damn. Similarly, the issues I'm working on are related to an upgrade, which incurs a cloud migration. But I can't say which as they're proprietary systems - which means I'm having a LOT of fun!

Yep, Groundhog Day indeed!

Nice!

I did my little set of 50 reps last night on the weight bench, and so far my arms aren't sore.

Let me guess. Afterwards, y'all went on a picnic. And then held hands while tiptoeing through the tulips.

I think your dentist has the hots for you. No dentist ever gave me a face massage. Seems a little weird, if you ask me.

Thank god for those bed bugs. It's been nice being able to have Tuesdays off to relax and decompress. I'm going to really hate it next week when I have to go to work on Tuesday.
