i know some of the basics, but have never spent much time with it. however, for my new job i have to learn it. problem is, i don't know how much i have to learn. they asked, "do you know how to do formulas?" and i do, but there are A LOT of formulas... so how freakin' many do i need to know?!

the book is actually very helpful. learning a lot of need stuff and shortcuts

i just take it one step at a time and don't think about all the madness that it has hidden in it

I like some of the For Dummies books. They're perfect for me.

I have always had trouble with excel, mainly because I have trouble remembering the formulas. I always flunk on excel when I have to take a computer class. Give me word or powerpoint anyday. I need to learn how to use it before I enter the job market though.
