Drinking some coffee, watching some hillbilly horror (Wrong Turn 1 & 2), and making a list of crap to do this weekend. Want to get as much done today as possible since we're going to my folks' annual Halloween bash tonight. Gonna be a big night of drinking and hanging around a bonfire.

I just re-read the terrible news I found out this morning. Still in shock.

It was my 4th year working at Cedar Point (amusement park for those that don't know) in 2009. I had met a lot of new people that year, naturally, and one of them was a good friend of mine for a few years before we grew a part by nature of life. She met her boyfriend that year, who I also had known as of that same year, and they later would be married and have two beautiful little girls. On Wednesday, he committed suicide. He was 27.

It's sad, confusing, and everything else and I can not imagine what she is going through and having to explain this to her daughters. It's a tragic reminder that you just never know when the time is up on someone close or far for you.

Just last night I was asking my 4 year old if she could drive me to work, instead of me driving her to daycare. She of course knew I was "kiddin" and I told her she had 12 years before she can start driving. Sad when you think 12 years is not a long time at all, and you suddenly want to just pause everything and just keep your little kids from ever growing up.

Damn. That sucks. I can't imagine the pain his wife and kids are going thru.

Oh my God, that's absolutely horrifying news. This is why I wish mental health was addressed more. Even if you only prevent 1 suicide, it's worth it. Nobody should get to the point where they feel suicide is the only option. It's never an option.

Just read Biz's post. Sorry to hear that. I hope his wife and daughters some how find a way to make it through these tough times.

Nursing a hangover with some coffee and cinnamon rolls, compliments of my daughter. Guessing we had a blast last night, but don't really know since I can't remember a damn thing. Kid was refreshing my memory a bit, she was telling me how the kids all broke away from the parents and formed their own party in the neighbor's corn field. Guess they're all getting too old for the bounce house/pin the tail on the donkey games LOL Oh well, cops didn't show up so I assume everything was good
