Wife and kids are at the grandparents making Christmas cookies. I'm enjoying the rare peace and quiet of a silent house. But also look forward to reaping the rewards of those aforementioned Christmas cookies.

About to leave a bit early for my 13th viewing of Justice League today. Expecting a longer line than usual at the box office. My second youngest nephew is supposed to be taking a nap but instead he's screaming the word mom at the top of his lungs. Good time to be leaving. Under no circumstances should a former marine with an avatar that looks like Deepika Padukone go to Hooters.

took the wreath to my dad's grave earlier. the past little while i've been outside talking with my neighbor.

tried to burn some hay bales, too. but they're too wet to fully burn; gonna have to wait until they dry out.

Getting ready to fix something for dinner since I have to be up early for work tomorrow, damn me and voluntary overtime. Gonna be a long week but at least I get a half day of work on Thursday, before my vacation, thanks to the kid having a doctor's appointment

i'm kind of doing the same thing. dinner is getting prepared and i have to work tomorrow. i only have 2 days "scheduled" this week, but i'm doing a volunteer day on thursday to pick up some extra hours. and this week we're volunteering at the local zoo to help with their light thing they do every year.

and reveling in the fact that i get 8 days off starting tuesday....sorta.

i signed up for a volunteer shift on thursday, but it's not at work doing work stuff. it'll be at out local zoo helping out with their christmas light thing they do every year.

bot other than that, i get tuesday, wednesday, friday, saturday, sunday, monday, and tuesday off.

plus, if i'm to understand the email we got at work, our bonus will come on the 22nd instead of jan 1st like they originally said. which is awesome 'cause that will give me some extra $$$ to pick up a couple gift cards for my youngest niece. she likes those so i always try to get her a couple of them each year.

sitting at work doing busy work since there's no real work to do at this time of year. the passed 2 weeks were really busy and the few weeks after are always really slow.

same here. i'll be off through next tuesday after tomorrow (minus thrusday's volunteer shift of 5 hours). and i'm not sure i'll get too many hours after that next week...maybe 12 or so.
