I AM slacking but mainly because nobody else back here really works either and there's simply no incentive to actually get things done most of the time. Why should I care when the work sucks and nobody else seems to care either?

Was up too late and too early. I just wrapped up two of my wife's presents. Going to go and grab a shower before she gets home. If I'm lucky I'll be able to get another cup of coffee too. I have to go out refill my son's prescription and scratch a couple more things off the Christmas and Anniversary list. Hoping my Big Lots on the hill has what I'm looking for. I don't want to have to make a special trip if I don't have to.

Guarantee it's a HIPAA violation since we're not supposed to be around client information unless we need to be. Oh and co-worker going through charts looking for missing ones, probably better not to do that before the start of the shift. Think before you act, lady.

i have to deal with FERPA all the time, so i know how that is. and then people get mad when i don't give them the information they want. even when i tell them, "unless you're the actual person or their legal guardian if they're under 18, then i can't give you anything except their name, which you already have." and then i get to hear shit about, "look, it's my nephew/niece, cousin, best friend, roommate, etc."

"well, i don't care. the law says this and i'm not about to break a FEDERAL law for you. so have fun with your anger and we'll talk to you later. k-bye."

and then i usually get them asking for my name, so i give them my first name. they want my last name, but we're not allowed to give that out, either. then they really get going. it's actually quite amusing after about the 5th or 6th time you go through it. you just get kind of numb to the whole thing of people yelling at you for following the rules/law.

Just sent a second email to my direct supervisor about loud and annoying. She keeps touching me, despite me telling her to stop, so it's gotten to the point where I'm going to complain to HR. I would love for this to be the thing that finally gets her lazy butt fired from this place as she's the main reason I don't want to work here anymore.
