Trying to get the motivation to wash the dishes and get the kid dressed so we can head over to my parents' house to remove a tree that fell in their driveway, then who knows what, we'll probably just come back home and play some more Call of Duty online (we were playing til well past 3AM last night).

I just got back awhile ago from hanging out with a buddy. We went to this park and played bocce ball with these two gents. We played doubles, him on one team and me on another and we won. This was our first time ever playing a full game and it's quite fun! I wouldn't pick it over tennis but I could see myself being up for a game at least once a week.

Met a cute girl today at Costco. I ended up helping her with a big roll of carpet that she was returning. I watched her for awhile at the trunk of her car and decided she might need a hand. I wasn't brave enough to ask for her contact info but I did leave mine with her. The thing about this encounter is I've never seen a girl so embarrassed before in her life. Don't roll your eyes when I say this but it was like she was meeting a celebrity. I'm not saying that she was giddy or anything like that but she just seemed like...yeah I guess embarrassed is the right word. It actually made me feel good to make her feel that way. I don't know if I'll hear from her though. She just got out of a 15-year relationship so she's not ready to dive back in. We'll see...

Well fiiiiiiinally I hear from this girl. I awoke to this message request on FB. At first, I had just woken up and hadn't read the whole thing yet, I figured it was spam or a scam
"Hey! It's been a LONG time, but if you're still good with big rugs and have the same great taste in Costcos, might be fun to meet up? I live just south of Vasona Lake, where the trail goes up into the hills and is very pretty. Interested in a hike or something low-key tomorrow? 🙂 - Lisa (650-xxx-xxxx)"

Soooo finally the one girl that I've met lately where I really wanted to hear from finally hits me up. I played tennis with my dad today at Stanford so I haven't hit her back yet. I'm very shy and insecure and while I have no problem messaging her back, I'm not rushing to do it.

After tennis we went to this place that my dad used to eat at a lot when he lived in the Bay Area. It's called Bill of Fare and it was quite packed but luckily we got seated right away since we showed up at the right time. I'm a sucker for treats on my pancakes, French toast, waffles etc.

It was! I actually prefer that glazed fruit topping. I guess that's what it's called. This was fresh fruit and it was delicious but glazed fruit toppings I love even more. I should have ordered bacon as well.
