It's a shame when ANYBODY has to die and I'm not defending Uber AT ALL but this could have been avoided by looking both ways.

I can't speak for the rest of the country, but here in Northern New Jersey and New York, people walk with their heads down under their hoodies and just step into the street.

The handle on our refrigerator snapped last night, I decided to try to avoid paying $50+ for a replacement ($50 for a piece of f**king plastic, really?!) so I picked up some "plastic-weld" from the hardware store after work today. I knew regular super glue wouldn't hold up but this plastic weld promises to bond stronger, so we'll see what happens. Anyway, right now I'm trying to relax and drink a rum & coke but I'm starting to get a massive headache from the fumes of that epoxy so I'm thinking about going out for a walk.

The really rude way to put this is this is Darwinism on display. If you're stupid enough to walk into an oncoming car, well that's your own fault.

Yeah...I mean...I don't want to be too cold about it because there is someone out there in mourning now and my heart genuinely goes out to the living but how fast could an automated vehicle have been going?

You figure they are AT LEAST programmed to go the speed limit.

For time and gas purposes, I wouldn't even be surprised if they were programmed to drive slower.

On a side note, I hate getting cold knocks on my door about my house. Had some *******, who had our address and asking price on his phone. Started asking me open ended questions and when I went to get my phone to take a picture of the email he received he started getting evasive with me. Dude, I did sales, don't mess with me. Sometimes money makes up for it. I have endured jobs only because of the money. Not for very long though.

I understand about not being the main bread winner, during a dry spell. My Ex loved it cause of what I did while she was away at work. She was very appreciative.

Don't think too much on the role reversal. You've earned it and it seems like your Wife needs what you provide.

It is much worse than it looks, I gave it to my son to hopefully get running as a farm Truck,
but it was even too far gone for that, at least as far as him pouring the money into it to make it a farm Truck

Thanks brother I'm comfortable in my current role. I only get bent when someone calls me Mr Mom and I have to shut it down quickly because it feels like a backhanded compliment. No, what I am is a dad who takes his role seriously. So when someone who doesn't even know me praises me as you have I take it to heart.Thank you for the kind words

Too bad we're so far apart BWBODDY. I have a Mercury Mountaineer I'm going to be selling before we move. I'd love to just get my passenger door handle replaced, rent a car trailer and use it to tow my mother in law's vehicle it to Texas. The thought of going truck shopping again
