Finally home from work, and of course the first thing I hear when I got home was "what's for dinner?" No 'hello,' no 'how was your day?' Not even an greeting with an ice cold beer. Oh and to add to that, I notice the kitchen's still a mess and the living room is a disaster zone. sometimes, there's just no appreciation.

my mom and sister...if that'd happened to them as soon as they walked in the door? "dinner is whatever the hell you want to cook or buy."

they're both the "wait until" type. my mom? you wait until she's had her second cup of coffee before trying to have a conversation with her, in the morning.
my sister? you wait until she's poured her glass of wine and taken a drink before trying to have a conversation with her after she gets home from work. especially if she does that before she even goes back to the bedroom to change clothes. then you know it's been one of those days.

but i feel ya. sometimes people, even family members, have no patience or appreciation for anyone else who is working to support them. or just working in general.

Just wrapped up a cold Lil Sumpin' and going to take a break while my wife goes and checks on her mom with the boy. Brother in law helped me move the heavier stuff into the trailer. Was in the middle of stacking some boxes when the new owner cancelled her "pop up" visit and it started raining

Getting sick of these Amazon Alexa commercials. They set off my echo every day. Figured I would move it to the other side of my room but Alexa is a good listener.

Sounds like you might need to change the wake word from "Alexa" to something more unique.

lol...i know exactly what you mean. every time i see one come on the tv, i mute it (if i catch it in time).

you can easily change it to one of four pre-defined words (alexa, amazon, echo, or computer) using the phone app. BUT, you can also change it something else if you use the alexa.amazon.com site.

here, that means nothing if the package is at the local post office. hell it could be a week before they decide to put it on a truck for delivery.

there's been a couple times i got tired of waiting and just went down and picked it up. luckily the post office is only about 5 blocks from my house.
