My dad spent the last 15 days in the ICU. He always wanted to pass away at home. With the help of some amazing nurses and help from the hospital, my dad was able to spend 5 hours at the house before he passed. It's been a long two weeks and an even longer last 48 hours. It's really weird being 30 and having lost both parents. I don't even know how to start this new chapter in life. Watching some modern family, hoping to fall asleep soon.

Sitting here stewing instead of sleeping. Between the previous owner not cleaning out the attic, not taking the boxes we set aside for them, but grabbing their mail and the crew we hired to paint, lay flooring, etc going half ass on the final stretch by not working over the weekend I’m about to go sideways. It doesn’t help we can’t just leave our boy with his grandma because of her not being at 100%. So I might be sending my wife to the house solo today when I need to be there helping. Because I’ve not laid eyes on anything since the movers unpacked the trailer.

Maybe don can explain to me why people pay $25 to stand in a long line to get on the plane first

I honestly don’t know? I’ve never understood why they don’t board back to front after the special concessions are made. It would cut down on the in aisle congestion.

I love how my carry on never quite fits under the seat in front of me, makes for some awkward sitting. The gentleman next to me is watching the flash. I will resume the dark knight returns once we are airborne and the fasten seat belt sign is off

ot: Having some coffee & waffles here at the hotel, checking my e-mail and catching up on the world news. Local weather report just popped up, looks like we're in for a hot/humid night and an even hotter Monday. Oh and check this out, head office sent me an e-mail insisting I work down here all this week despite me telling them over and over again that I have a full time job.
