What are you doing right now?

Out cruising. Stopped at McDonalds for a mocha frappe in San Mateo and I think I might head over to Half Moon Bay and maybe even up to Pacifica. Both are on the famed Highway 1. Could cruise up to SF but not sure I'll go that far. Even though we're quite as ways from the fire, the air quality is quite poor.
Just love the Bay Area so much though. There's so much to see and do here

My wife wants a new dining room table. Can’t say I disagree, we’ve had it since we got married, and it was pretty inexpensive. So after work today we go to the local furniture store. Walk out quite some time later with a new bed for our daughter and a new area rug for the dining room. Still could use a new dining room table.

I was watching this Gregg Allman and friends performance on YouTube that I absolutely love. I'm surfing around and the video ends and goes on to the next one (this has happened several times) and it's this special on Gregg and they played a clip of this song when talking about his brother's death. I don't think I've heard this song so when I come back and have time, I'm going to listen to it. Actually hell, I'm just going to listen to it right now.

Getting my Computer back up and running!

Oh boy did I have a bit of a scare!

I was on the Forum and my Computer Screen went all weird for a moment than it went to black!

Powering down and back up again did nothing ( only a black screen ) I than went ahead and
laid the PC on it’s side and removed the side panel, I blew out any particulates that had gotten in over the years.
I basically unplugged/re-plugged in all connectors inside the Computer than tried a power up,
at first all it than did was go to the screen with the countdown clock that’s asks if you want to “go to safe mode” or power up Windows Normally”, etc…
But I couldn’t click “enter” with the keyboard and have it go right to Windows Power up, and when it went to 0 it didn’t do anything ether.

I powered on and off a few times and the last time it did go to Widows after the clock hit 0 ( keyboard still didn’t work )
it went to the normal Windows screen, I was able to log onto the Net, keyboard still didn’t work, so I went ahead and unplugged/re-plugged in
all exterior connectors and that fixed that issue.

So I got it back up and running, ( whole process took about ½ hr ) still don’t know what the root cause was.
I’m just happy it’s running again!
