Just put together my new Atlantic multimedia shelf. Seems kind of unstable on it's own but since we rent I'm avoiding mounting it to the wall at this time. Thinking about ordering a 2nd one and attaching them back to back but since I'm restarting my collection (sold/gave away ~95% of my 10,000 title collection last year when we moved) and plan on being more selective this round I really don't have the need for a two units.

My new(er) copy of G.I. Joe 1.3 came today and this time only one disc was scratched but the episode I wanted was intact, so I'm keeping it.

I'll probably just end up double dipping and getting that new set that came out with the whole series.

Since I last worked at Lowes on Sunday and don't go back until Friday, I've been watching movies. I never watch movies or if I do it's ones I've seen before. And since I recently completed my 11-season binge watch of Cheers, now is the time!

Sunday night: Revenge
Monday night: Atomic Blonde
Tuesday night: Taxi Driver, Seth McFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy (I know it's not a movie, but still)

I think I will do Molly's Game for Wednesday, and another oldie on Thursday night (maybe Dazed and Confused).

i WAS watching a video about someone who was revealing mistakes in the back to the future trilogy and all the time travel stuff and how it would've affected everything....

but i just can't.

knowing it's a movie, i just can't listen to someone talk about it on a "real" level. just enjoy the movie for what it is and don't try to disseminate why this or that happened or that it could never happen in real life. of course it couldn't happen in real life, that's why it's in a movie.

I don't understand the attraction of those YouTube channels. There's a few of them that just destroy every movie in existence and somehow they have millions of subscribers. What happened to just enjoying a movie?

no idea...

i'd much rather just enjoy a movie for what it is....a chance to shut my brain off, not think about anything, and just get into the story and visuals.

Watching some TV and having a Jack & Coke (or two) while I wait for the Girl to get home from work. She volunteered to be on a 48 hour rotation the last couple days since she dislikes driving in any inclement weather, needless to say I've missed her.

On a Best Buy customer service chat because they shipped me the correct invoice but the wrong movies. Not a big deal and I'm sure they'll get it straightened out by the time the call is done. The person who is helping me has helped me before and I feel like we have a really strong connection

I'm fine now, so I don't really see the harm in having a few drinks. Pretty serious day though, I haven't been that focused in awhile. It was funny walking to the car, my whole step was just a bit off and I kept smiling because if someone saw me they might have thought I was a little tipsy.
